Wondering what has been everyone's experience with the Chef's table dinner menu variety! There is a French, Italian and California menu......we are really interested in trying the California menu, but wonder the likelihood of it being offered on our cruise..a 16 day NZ cruise on Journey, coming up in March.

Any guesses?

Thanks:D

Very likely as they try and offer all the Chefs menus on cruises where time allows. You have 16 days so looking good for that and possibly even a 4th option.

On the Le Club Voyage trip last year, they created an Arabian Chefs table. It was so popular and the food was exceptionally good and very interesting they indicated they would be trying on longer cruises to include it as well.

Enjoy!

You may also have an Indonesian rijsttafel offering, as well.

On our 10 day SIN-HKG itinerary (Journey, Nov/Dec 2016) they offered all three, plus Thai. And the Indonesian (though they don't classify/sell that as "chef's table" since it's family style and offered in a different location) We did the California chef's table and thought it was wonderful. The gentleman who sat next to me at that dinner was a pro chef and he and his wife attended all the chef's tables and had a great time.

Honestly, we enjoyed eating in the main dining room so were happy to eat most of our meals there, though the chef's table was a fun diversion.:D

The Arabian menu sounds interesting. I remember reading something about that and I searched here for the menu, but couldn't find it. Do you remember any of the highlights?

They are explained by Indonesian members of the wait staff. The rijstaffel is served family style around a large communal table.

On our cruise, it was served on the aft deck (outside of Windows Cafe). Both on our cruise (and here on CC) I've never heard anyone give it a bad review:D
