Questions about embarkation (Barcelona, Yacht Club)

We will soon embark on our first MSC cruise and have some questions about the embarkation process.

1. I have seen the white YC-tent in photos from other ports. Do they have that in Barcelona and is it easy to find?

2. Shall we bring all our luggage to the YC-entrance or do we leave it somewhere else?

3. The ship shall arrive to Barcelona at 09.00 and we shall leave at 18.00, how early can we check in and what time can we expect to board?

4. When we board, will we be escorted to the place where we shall set our accounts? Will we get our keycards at the same place?

5. Do I have to tell them that I'm a Black member to get the things I'm supposed to get or will I get that automatically?

Thanks!

Probably a porter will pick up your luggage as you arrive in your taxi, just tip the usual 1E a case.I cannot remember if there is a YC luggage drop, there isn't for the Haven so I expect its the same.Just look about in the terminal for the YC check in, probably towards the back, just tell your guide. You will be able to check in earlier than the main boat and they will tell you all you want to know. If you are a black member it will all be on the computer. Enjoy,x

I hope someone who has embarked from Barcelona in the Yacht Club answers your questions as nothing in the Divina embarkation in Miami is similar to what Rusky has stated. I would hope the Med cruises in the Yacht Club were the same or better than the Miami procedures which are excellent.

Yes, there ist a YC Tent in Barcelona, near the Entrance of the Port. You have to take your Luggage to the YC Tent, it will be taken there and not at the normal Baggage drop.

Normally the Check in begins 3 or 4 hours after the arrival time of the Ship, it will be 12.00 or 13.00.

When your are a YC Member, a Butler will bring you to the Concierge, there you receive some Information about the YC, the YC Restaurant and the Ship, and then they will bring you to your Cabin. The Cruise Cards are in the Cabin.

When your have a Black Card, you receive a Black Cruise Card, so its automatically in the System of the Ship.
