We will be sailing next July on Oceania Riviera and we are wondering which side we should pick for out suite for the best views....here are our ports of call: Athens, Mykonos, Rhodes, Santorini, Valletta, Messina, Amalfi, Ajaccio, St. Tropez and Barcelona. Thanks in advance for any suggestions for any or all of the above.:)

Everyone wonders this, but the answer is that it makes absolutely no difference.

There are so many variables involved in how the ship will be positioned in port, that it is wiser to choose your cabin based on what position you desire on the vessel than to worry about ports.

Agree that it makes little difference in terms of views but I would pay attention to which side of the ship the sun sets on most often and would avoid that side. July is typically very hot in the Med. and even air conditioning has difficulty keeping up with it - especially when it was setting. Even the tables in the far aft of the ship in specialty restaurants (Marina and Riviera) can get uncomfortably warm at dinner.
