Could someone tell me if the casino on the boat has a roulette table or automated wheel and what the minimum bet is? Also is there live poker and what is buy-in, ante, etc? Thanks!

hi, yes a proper roulette table with the 0 and double 00, mininmum was $5 outside and a dollar in, the poker table is automated , but they didnhave tournamnets very day .also craps, let it ride, 3 card poker and a few blackjack tables

I was on the Oosterdam in December, and I think all HAL casinos have the same gaming rules. For roulette, it's $5 on the odds/evens and the colours, anything on the inside is $1, but you still must wager $5 spread over the layout. You can't put four, $1 chips inside, it must be 5 chips. .

Yes, on every cruise I have been on (including 3 on the Westerdam). And slot tournaments too ;)

My normal bet on the wheel has been $4.00 on inside bets and have never, on any cruise, been asked to bet more. About an hour ago I bet the last $2 I had for tonight and it was taken without any problem at all.

If you can find 4 or more players you can just ask for the host to start a tournament.

Hey Randy, you never know what you're missing until you have tried it !!!

We found the Westerdam casino to be small and one of the least attractive areas on the ship. The positives: friendly staff and smoke-free. The negatives: the tightest slot machines we've come across. That includes over 20 cruises on 4 different cruise lines. It truly felt like the money was going in to a shredder. We're very much aware of the casino odds, but this was so bad as to lack entertainment value.
