Oprah on Alaska cruise now!

According to the Alaska Daily News, Oprah flew into Juneau and met the ship there so she wasn't on the full trip. I can take her or leave her and I understand the draw for others but it's nothing something that excites me. I hope she enjoys the ship and has a good time.

Exactly. Like it or not, many people do respond to the possibility that they will see somebody that they admire. It helps fill various restaurants in Los Angeles and sure why not have it help fill staterooms aboard cruise ships?

I totally agree. I actually wouldn't care if a celebrity was on my cruise. I wouldn't want to be on this cruise because of the way people act around celebrities......as you said, like they're a Deity or something.

Yes I agree. It makes me cringe to see the way some people act around so called 'celebrities'.

I find this to be SO AMUSING. The great O on a cruise ship....it's weird like watching a dog walk on it's hind legs

Just returned from this cruise. Didn't book it because of Oprah but did enjoy the little gifts on my pillow from O magazine each day... shirts, sun visors, books, water bottles, bracelets etc
