Freedom of the Seas Favorite Bar

Recommended Posts

So what's your favorite bar on the Freedom?

It USED to be the Champagne Bar right outside of the Galileo Dining Room. Had a wonderful bartender there. We'll see how it's replacement the "R-Bar" fares when we're on there in October.

A close second for us would be the Breeze Juice Bar. Great place to sit and watch my DD in the H20 zone pool. Great ocean breeze, shaded, and some great bartenders.

In my humble opinion, it's about clicking with the bartenders...every cruise I've enjoyed different bars...on Liberty it was the Champagne Bar, on Mariner the Schooner Bar and most recently on Freedom back in May, it was the Crown Lounge (Olive or Twist) sitting at the bar, not the lounge area. If Hasan and J.R. are still working, the have really great personalities and made every evening fun. But, they might not fit your persona so check out the different places and see how it goes.

Quick question! Do the bartenders stay with the bar throughout the trip on Royal? Like, when we were on Disney, the same two bartenders were at the pool bar the whole trip, (I don't know when they slept, they were ALWAYS there!).. is that the way it works on Royal too? I'm assuming so, based on this thread, but just making sure I understand!

Thank you!

They tend to work at the same bar - but we've had a few tell us that they worked at multiple bars. We found that when we really hit it off with a bartender - we asked them where to find them. One of our bartenders from the Squeeze bar worked the night shift at the Cigar bar. The cocktail servers in the casino would keep track of us. (If I couldn't find the DH or DS - one of the servers knew where they were - and vice versa.)

Also - our Champagne Bar server actually got us "premium coffee" from the Promenade Cafe to make us espresso martinis. Such great staff!

  • 2 weeks later...

Wow, no love yet for the Schooner Bar whatsoever.

Schooner Bar is definitely my favorite bar on Freedom and where I found the best service. Second would have been Bull and Bear.

I try to avoid the Pool Bar at all costs. Terrible service and downright rude bartenders.
