Disney Magic 5 Night Dining Rotation & Formal Nights?

Does anyone know the 5 Night Dining Rotation & Formal Nights on Disney Magic? TIA

Casual - Rotation Menu

Depends on the itinerary, but there is usually 1 Dressy night, one pirate/tropical night, and the others are casual. The Dressy night isn't a truly formal night (not a captains gala), but many will dress up.

The 5 night cruises generally have a semi-formal night.

We're booked on the 12/13/2015 5 night Western Caribbean on the Magic. I called to find out which rotation I had and was told I could request a specific rotation.

The 3 rotations are:

LACLA

ACLAC

CLACL

L = Lumiere's

A = Animator's Palette

C = Carioca's

The third night is the Pirate party, so it looks like whichever restaurant you have for the 3rd night, you'll miss the normal special dinner menu for that restaurant.

I've never been on a cruise where you missed one of the rotational menus. I won't say the above info is wrong, but something doesn't add up.

I called Disney back to see if the rotations were changed (missing a special restaurant menu seemed strange to me too) and found they did change the rotations!

These match the rotations we just had on the Magic November 15-20th. Optional dress up night was night 2 and pirate night was night 3. Tangled the Musical was shown on night 4 - best to get there early, the theatre was a mad house.

So can you really request a rotation? Do you do that on embarkation day?

We are doing Palo's on Pirate Night, and we wouldn't be sad if we missed Carioca's.

I requested a rotation - of course he said he couldn't guarantee it.

If you don't like your assigned rotation, you can request a change the first afternoon on departure day.

You can also try for Palo reservations and dining time changes at that time too.
