Pre book entry tickets or not?

We are traveling on Azura on 16th October and me and my family will be getting off the ship and doing our own things while ashore rather than pay for the the ship excursions.

While there we will be getting a train from Livorno and also one from Citavecchia to travel to Pisa and Rome.

In Pisa we would like to go up the tower and look in the various museums and while in Rome we would like to go to either the Vatican or the Colosseum.

Should we buy the entry tickets before we go or should I buy them there or will the queues be very long.

Buy your Colisseum tickets at the Roman Forum as it covers all 3 sites. No queues when we did this in June and we jumped the queue and just had to clear security. It was painless! [emoji1]

Ditto.
