Is anyone on here going on this cruise. We are looking at options being from Scotland at best way to get to Gatwick but it all depends on timings of flights and with being Chartered cannot find out anything on Skyscanner. We are not sure whether to fly down from Edinburgh but not sure if first flight in the morning would get down in time and also coming back Gatwick to Edinburgh is at 11am or 1800 hrs. So not sure if this is feasible. P&O won't confirm unless I book. I am not a great flyer so trying to syke myself up for this.Your assistance appreciated.

Hi we are on the flight from Gatwick on the 11/12/2015 we are staying in the Hilton Gatwick the night before flight as we live in Cornwall, you can just walk through to the airport from the hotel so no bus in the rain and cold. The flight times I have are 10.10 departure from Gatwick arriving Barbados 3.05 On the return flight leaves B,dos 5.05 25/12/2015 arrives London 5.25 am, hope this helps you

Doesn't your cruise personaliser have your flight times, codes, etc. Caribbean flight from Gatwick normally departs 9:30am-9:45am depending on whether it's Thomas Cook or Thomson. As for inbound flight, that again depends on the airline, but we have landed anywhere between 5:15am-5:45am.

If it were me I wouldn't chance flying to LGW on the morning of your flight out I'd travel the day before - perhaps you could get coach or train then? As for return from Barbados we have usually landed before 6pm in the morning.

Thanks everyone to the replies. We have decided to drive down to Gatwick the night before as the issue is getting back with it being xmas not many flights back up to road and don't want to worry about delays back from Barbados and missing connections.

Makes good sense to fly down night before being Xmas and obviously winter too risky flying down on the day of departure IMO and less tiring having had a good nights sleep and not having to get up mega early. You are likely to be able to get cheaper flights as well if you are not tied to what time you travel, early morning flights are usually more expensive as they are used as business flights.

Just make me realise how lucky we are on the doorstep of Manchester Airport.
