Thanks for that link, petina. I've just made the distressing discovery that my tuxedo no longer fits and I didn't really want to go to the expense of buying a new one, given that the last time I wore my tux was on our last cruise three years ago!

M and S do good quality Tux jackets up to size 54" chest starting at £49.95 and are apparently machine washable.

Matalan do a very nice machine washable Dinner suit for £59 at that price not worth hiring. It will cost you more than that to hire onboard.

It's also a well-known scientific fact that the salty sea air shrinks clothes too. Though it does take a while. Normally the shrinkage only takes effect towards day 9 or 10 of a 14 day cruise... :p

Wobblybob I am packing some less restrictive clothes for the latter part of my cruise to allow for the sea air shrinkage :)
