On Celebrity Cruise Lines web site (at least on the Summit and the Solstice) in the Stateroom section of the area about the ships, for Penthouse suites and Royal Suites, it now states:

Beginning January 2016:

•Welcome bottle of Perrier-Jouet

•Complimentary laundry service

•Daily Delectables rotation of savory and sweet snacks

To me this is huge...the complimentary laundry service is a fantastic perk on a longer itinerary. Or even a seven day.

Agreed free laundry is a nice perk! Previously we have used our Elite coupons and then just swallowed the cost!

Looking forward to that nice bottle of champagne and better snacks, never understood the soggy ones, our butler used to bring us prawns instead.

Happy cruising!

We had champagne and daily snacks in 2014. Not bad but this sounds like an upgrade. I don't drink but the wife will enjoy the Perrier-Jouet. Looking forward to March.

Now if I can just figure out how to get that tub to run hot water. Should have asked the butler and will do so this time!

We are sailing Solstice out of Seattle July 2016 in a Royal Suite. We are not experienced cruisers and have never cruised Celebrity. Should we expect to receive these perks even though we already booked the suite? Very excited - any experienced suite tips (or Solstice, or Celebrity, or Alaska) would be appreciated! It's our honeymoon- we are mid 40's and looking for a romantic once in a lifetime experience.

You will get these perks as well as just about anything you'd like.

Your suite comes with:

-Unlimited Specialty dining

-Premium Beverage Package

-In suite course by course dining by your butler

-coupons for laundry, discounts on wine, and more

-Unlimited mini-bar restocking

-Butler service

-Private Michael's Club Concierge lounge with a very helpful concierge

-True Priority boarding, disembarkation, and at ports

-Two bottles of spirits in your cabin with mixers

-Shoreside concierge who contacts you about a week before your cruise

-Dining in Luminae, the suite only restaurant (very nice experience)

-Champagne in your cabin

-The perks above, afternoon tear service, Lattes/Cappuccinos in your cabin (butler served)

More I am sure I am missing.

You should have an amazing time. You can do a search for "suite" on this board and pic a few threads to read and learn more about the "suite" life

Congrats and happy sailing,

Jenna

Celebrity has provided upgrades to all of the Suite classes except for

the Celebrity Suites. From what I see there are no changes from last

year.

In actual fact Covepointcruiser from Jan 16 CSs lose 1 or 2 speciality dinners :(

Hi sea spot,

Expect the perks and expect to be spoilt! You will be well looked after.

Great as Luminae is, I recommend you book Tuscan Grill first night, request a window seat.....

The Michael's Club conceirges are wonderful, they will look after you.

Book a sea plane flight in Alaska, you will not regret it!

Make sure Celebrity know it is your honeymoon.

Take your own, quality, binoculars. Celebrity do provide them but they are not marvellous. My only criticism of Celebrity!

You will have a wonderful time, enjoy!

Wasn't it confirmed that cruises booked before Jan 1 will still get them, which is many cruises after Jan, 2016, as they just need to be booked by then?

Happy sailing,

Jenna

Yes, any CS booked before January 1, 2016 will still get 1 or 2 specialty dinners. But, it is still a loss of a perk if you book after 1/1/16. This also applies to SS.

Thanks Jenna, as usual you are right on. Still very curious as to what the interior changes are to the Royal suite. Looking forward to your review and pics when you are on Infinity.

Have a great cruise.

Thank you and will do. We're likely to post pics of both the RS and PH so that should be nice. We leave tomorrow for the airport hotel and fly to FL on Monday morning but have 5 days to relax and get ready to cruise. We received the pre-cruise shore side concierge email yesterday and depart 12/5 and VERY much looking forward to it!

Happy sailing,

Jenna

Do you know what the sky suites get free (if anything) out of the minibar?

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

A place to put beverages they bring back to the cabin. Just kidding. Sky suites get nothing free of what is stocked in the mini bar. This only applies to the Reflection Suite, PH, RS, Signature Suites, and CS.

Happy sailing,

Jenna

Thanks so much for the feedback- this is exactly the type of answers and tips we've been looking for woth regards to suite sailing!

I have a few lingering RS questions that I haven't found answers to after scouring the cruise critic boards. You guys seem like experienced Suite guests so I'll post here and hope someone knows?

1. Will the concierge in MC help us with 1st night specialty dining in Tuscan Grill AFTER we arrive on board? Can't seem to find a way to reserve the complimentary dining anywhere!

2. We've booked a few private excursions (well, booked one and are still shopping others). Will we receive priority tender in Juneau? How would we know if Solstice docks or tenders on our specific cruise?

3. Does anyone know the exact pier she sails out of Seattle? 66 or 91?

Again, thanks! Your tips are appreciated and will be put to good use!

1. Yes, no problem, but you will also most likely be contacted a week or so before the cruise by then reside concierge who will offer to take care of this for you.

2. You will be escorted to a tender from Michaels Club whenever you are ready to get off. You meet the concierge there and they walk you to a tender, with the excursions by Celebrity who have priority or just after. Your itinerary on your confirmation will tell you what ports are tender ports and what are docked. Of course it could change at some ports. You can also look it up online based on your sailing date.

3. Not I and again, I am sure it could change.

Happy sailing,

Jenna

Yes to # 1. You may get an email a week before cruise from mc concierge. Respond within any requests, like Tuscan reservations night 1.

#2. You will be escorted down to excursions with MC concierge. Tell them which days are X sponsored and which private, they should accommodate both.

I do not have an answer to your last question. You will LOVE the RS and all the perks! Beautiful ship too.

Enjoy!

Hi Jenna,

We haven't heard from the shore side concierge yet. I was hoping to hear from them so I could make a couple of bookings for restaurants. We definitely have our email attached to our booking. Maybe they don't know how to email to Australia.
