Discount for booking onboard

The on board booking perks constantly change. Your "deal" is whatever they wrote on your confirmation when you booked.... It doesn't matter what the rep said or you thought they said. Check your documents.

We were on Reflection 14 Nov and book a cruise. We received reduced deposit of 100 per person, Aqua class for Concierge and 450 OBC.

Is is $450.00 OBC from Celebrity or is some from an outside travel agent? Is this partly for booking on board and part from Pick your perk?

In the past there have specials - OBC, drink packages, etc. There haven't been many reports of those since Celebrity started the BBB options.

We got a great deal by booking on board last December. But we're not expecting one this year.

There still are. We booked on board a few weeks ago and received lower deposit of $100 per person by booking on board, one perk (we took the drinks package) and $250.00 OBC (depends on length of cruise and cabin). The real perk is the OBC which is additional to OBC you would get with BBB if you pick that perk.

Seven day Caribbean 2016, you get one perk under "Big" and $150.00 OBC per Veranda cabin for the onboard booking perk. Reduced deposit of $100.00 p.p., (there is a perk of $25.00 p.p. deposit this weekend which we were not offered). Really no incentive to book under the current promotion. The only reason we booked was we wanted our family to have adjoining cabins.

We booked today using the $25 deposit offer. It was a total of $25, not per person. We also got $300 OBC on a 6-day cruise

We called the Captain's Club last week and rebooked 2016 under the new suite promotion. All the perks and a lower fare than we'd originally booked.

And for Cyber Monday they're running really low deposits.

I'd label Celebrity totally unpredictable.

It's getting to the point that if you want to book a cruise with Celebrity you need and consult a lawyer, financial adviser and a psychic before you call a travel agent or Celebrity to book a cruise.

Exactly, since they are offering one perk on most cruises, the onboard incentive is the OBC (or additional if you picked OBC as your perk).
