Scuba Diving - Society and Cook Islands

My husband and I aren't divers, but we are seriously considering getting certified before our cruise. Assuming we do, we'll definitely want to do a few dives, but probably not in every port. Our cruise has the following stops:

Huahine

Aitutaki

Rarotonga

Bora Bora

Moorea

Taha'a

Given our itinerary, what are the best ports for diving? And which locations within these ports are the best? For instance, I'm guessing Bora Bora is a "can't miss", but there are several locations within Bora Bora to choose from (e.g., Tapu, Toopua). I can tell from the description what we can expect to see at each spot, but in your experience, is one location just vastly better than another?

We dove in Tahiti, Bora Bora and Huaine all fine

. We rented a car in Rarotonga and stopped at a resort for swimming. DW bought a black pearl here at a better price than in Society Islands, Moorea just went swimming with the sting rays. All enjoyable.
