Suez Canal passage-safe?

Did they depart early because they were afraid of the ship being attacked? Why were you more nervous in Istanbul? I hope you don't mind me asking. I have not heard of a ship leaving passengers behind.

The Captain upped anchor upon recommendation from the Authorities. We were in the line of fire and the safety of all on board was tantamount. Those who were in the Duty Free on the pier were escorted immediately on board. This is a copy of 'Israel Today' the following day. You don't need to read Hebrew to get what the headline is about.

In Istanbul I was conscious of tension; there were warnings about demonstrations in a part of the City we didn't visit. The presence of migrants was obvious and our guide voiced concerns about the rising numbers impacting the area.

My husband and I were two of 19 passengers on the overnight tour of Israel, purchased thru RCI. We were scheduled to stay overnight in a hotel in Jerusalem which we did. We did not know anything about the missiles until we returned from an evening out and turned on the tv. We learned the next day that RCI had been in contact with our tour organizer and was thinking about flying us out of Israel, but then, we would have missed a few ports, etc. we had a great time and are cruising there again in December. I never felt safer. The Iron Dome works!
