Israel - Immigration Process

Very simple. You will be stamped into the country on a separate sheet which will then be placed in your passport. It will then be returned to you. When you leave the country, you will be stamped out on the same sheet, and it will be removed from your passport.

Hope that's helpful,

Ed

Israeli authorities will be on the ship prior to arrival. You will be given a time and place to meet them. You will take your Passport. They will ask a few questions and then give you a stamped card. That's all you need to do. Very simple.

Be aware that you must get permission from celebrity if you are talking about leaving the ship overnight in one port and returning in another, ie leaving in Haifa and returning in Ashdod. This is separate from the other immigration process and applies everywhere not just in Israel.

This is also true even for the same port on an overnight such as Ashdod.

The process can vary from cruise to cruise.

I say this because it has.

While often Israel authorities will come on board your ship a few days before you arrive to your first port of call in Israel this is not always possible and when it is not possible they will come on board after you dock and this can cause a few hours delay in getting off the ship.
