CABIN #: 1140

DECK #: 11

CLASS: A1

AREA: aft view balcony just over the Sunset bar

BED NEAR:

QUIET?: sound from above only late on sea day when they moved the chairs back. Music from the bar in the evenings. :)

BALCONY VIEW: aft wake on sea day, can't see much on port days :(

BALCONY SIZE: HUGE! about 13 feet deep

WIND A PROBLEM?:no wind at all. Gets really hot in port

SOOT A PROBLEM?:just a little. Get an extra towel from the pool for the chairs, just in case

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: The location of this balcony was great! Just one quick flight of stairs to the bar!

CABIN #: 6145 (Summit)

DECK #: 6

CLASS: S1

AREA: Portside Aft (Same configuration as 6146 Starbord Aft)

BED NEAR: Faces balcony

QUIET?: It depends on who is next to you... This room shares an adjoining door to the Penthouse Suite and right next to the door is a grand piano. You will definitely hear the piano if played. It has a player piano feature, which could be nice to overhear if you enjoy it. NOT nice if non-professional players or children are hammering on it. Our butler was awesome about having the piano situation toned down in our case but if you need 100% peace and quiet this cabin is a risk. We could hear children screaming in the afternoon and at the crack of dawn every day. Fortunately, we had excursions booked each morning so we treated the kids as our alarm clock. If you want a guarantee of quiet, you may wish to select another Sky Suite.

BALCONY VIEW: Portside Aft

BALCONY SIZE: Large

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: As mentioned, the fact that it is adjacent to the Penthouse and shares an adjoining door can be problematic. You could have loud children, wannabe pianists, or large parties that create noise. It is a special cabin, though, with a great balcony and bathroom and stellar room attendants. We will consider giving it one more shot if available for our next cruise but if it's noisy again, we'd book in another area if on an M-Class ship.

CABIN #: 8100

DECK #: 8

CLASS: C2

AREA: Starboard Mid-ship

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: Sometimes. I kept hearing noises from the balcony that sounded like people were moving chairs or tables above us, but they came at all times of the day/night, so I think it was actually sounds from below that maybe was related to some maintenance? When we were docked I noticed that there was a mechanical lift that was below our room that may have been making the noise. Wasn't horrible, and you couldn't hear it unless you had the balcony door open.

BALCONY VIEW: We were two rooms away from the mid-ship bump out, so if you stood at the railing, you could see into their balcony, and vice versa. Below was a view of the life boats, and of deck 4. Covered over head, so you won't have to worry about rain, and it provided shade until about 3 PM.

BALCONY SIZE: Small - fit two chairs (no footstools) and a small table.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Very quiet, other than the noises I mentioned out on the balcony. About 4 rooms down from the stairs and elevators, so very convenient. Felt very little movement from the ship since you are right in the middle, which is nice.

On the ever popular S class thread it was asked...

"Is there a similar thread for the M Class ships?"

I could not think of a good reason why there would not be....so here it is.

Same format as S-Class...

What is the spreadsheet website????

Hi, it is not a website....but a long time ago Library Lady made a spreadsheet for the S class cabins......I don't believe there is one for

the M class cabins.

CABIN #: 6029

DECK #: 6

CLASS:

AREA: 171 sq. feet

BED NEAR:

QUIET?: yes, except when there was a show. Then you could hear some music during the show.

BALCONY VIEW: excellent

BALCONY SIZE: twice the size of comparable balconies

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: One of the so called "Sweet 16". These are regular sized cabins, forward on the ship which have oversized balconies. We were on the April, 2015 transatlantic. There was excellent weather on the crossing, so I cannot evaluate the motion of the cabin. There is nothing below the cabin to obstruct the view. A great cabin.

CABIN #: 1140

DECK #: 11

CLASS: A1

AREA: aft view balcony just over the Sunset bar

BED NEAR:

QUIET?:Nothing from above; could listen to the music in Oceanview by cracking door open.

BALCONY VIEW: Great; only downside is Maltese flag in all port photos and flagpole in at sea pics. Easy to walk to either side stairways to get photos.

BALCONY SIZE: HUGE! about 13 feet deep

WIND A PROBLEM?:no wind at all. Can get pretty warm in ports.

SOOT A PROBLEM?: Some overnight. Suspect it is tied to burning refuse.

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS Great location. Convenient to aft elevators. Just have to go up one deck and aft after boarding in port to avoid the crowds. Down to 5 and you are at Blu. Very private as only residents venture up here after the first sea day when others discover the lounge and kids area is on the bow. Combined with dining in Blu, feels like you are on a much smaller ship.

Summit

CABIN #: 8170

DECK #: 8

CLASS: C1

AREA: Aft facing concierge

BED NEAR: Bath

QUIET?: yes, very

BALCONY VIEW: usual aft --wonderful 180 degree sweeping view --no obstructions other than slight bump outs of FV balconies,

BALCONY SIZE: LARGE! Two reclining chairs with foot rests plus two other deck chairs and large table. All furniture in great shape and very good quality.Fully half the deck covered from above and even when standing at railing fairly private. We loved to have b'fast on the balcony and enjoyed canapés and wine at Sailaway each evening with our friends. Enjoyed having that balcony with plenty of room.

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?:no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:We liked the Summit, in general, better than the Infinity (the only other M-Class on which we've sailed). This cabin was simply terrific--plenty of storage and closet space, well laid out bathroom and non-clingy shower curtain, good shower water pressure, comfortable bed, nice linens. With aft elevators and stairs on the M-Class, not a bad walk at all. Highly recommend this cabin.

CABIN #: 1133

DECK #: 11

CLASS: A1

AREA: aft view balcony just over the Sunset Bar

BED NEAR: bathroom

QUIET: yes, very quiet

BALCONY VIEW: Great views of all the ports as you are leaving. We watched the entry to Hubbard Glacier on an open forward deck and then returned to our cabin and watched from the balcony as the ship left the bay. It was magnificent!

BALCONY SIZE: Large - about 9-10 feet deep. There were two chairs the reclined, two footstools and a small table (big enough for drinks and appetizers). We did not miss not having a lounger since the chairs were comfortable and adjustable to recline.

WIND A PROBLEM?:Very little wind. Some days we were on a side deck which was windy. We'd return to our cabin and felt very little wind on the balcony.

SOOT A PROBLEM?: Not significant but I wiped down the tables, chairs and railing at the start of the cruise - very dirty. I wiped it all again a couple times during the week and there was not much dirt at all.

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS Great location. Quick ride down to 5 and you are at Blu. A short walk down the aft stairs and you are at the Sunset Bar. Would gladly sail in this cabin again. I had read about the issue of smoke rising from the Sunset Bar since this cabin is on the port side and smoking is allowed on the port side of the Sunset Bar. But never once during the week did we see anyone smoking or smell any smoke. I wonder if the policy has changed on the Millennium and smoking is no longer allowed on Deck 10. There were not even any ashtrays in sight on the tables at the bar.

Sky Suite 1 - Cabin 6130

Noise - non. Very quiet

View - OK. Would not book this cabin again and don't feel the SS1 rating is warranted. Balcony OK table and 2 chairs. large tank below room and balcony next to cabin can see into room.

NO SOOT

NO Wind until we hit a storm heading to NJ

Butler almost non existant.

One good thing, it is located near the aft elevators and stairs.

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS we liked the location. My husband was not troubled by the noise. We never heard noise other than late at night, usually 12-2 a.m.

Hi mmcruise. I read your review of cabin #3015 on the Summit. We have booked 3019, and there will be three of us. Can you tell me where the pull-out couch is located? On some of the floor plans it looks like the bed is under the window, and those people would have to crawl over the pull-out couch when it is extended, in order to reach the bathroom. Is this the case?

Thanks.

Just returned from a B2B Alaska cruise (we had the same cabin for both trips).

CABIN #: 9102

DECK #: 9

CLASS: M Class

AREA: Mid-ship

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: No, could hear lots of noise from above and nightly in the Atrium while music played

BALCONY VIEW: Great view, overhang got in the way of taking pictures

BALCONY SIZE: Nice, two chairs and a large round table

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: The shower drain had a sewage odor from time-to-time. Noise from above was very apparent throughout our entire 14 days on the ship -- scraping of chairs, rolling of carts and music from the Atrium could be heard when DJ was playing music in the evening.

Would probably not pick this cabin again.
