SHIP: Eclipse

CABIN #: 1610

DECK #: 11

CLASS: Aqua A1 I think

AREA: starboard midship

BED NEAR: bathroom

QUIET?: mostly, see below

BALCONY VIEW: good

BALCONY SIZE: very large

WIND A PROBLEM?: N/A

SOOT A PROBLEM?: N/A

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: the extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy so we had to put tissues on it to minimise the noise which helped a lot. Also the bathroom door if it was closed could bang during the night so you have to leave it open although no major issue. The room attendants store cupboard is outside the room and sometimes could be noisy in the morning and evening but it was also mixed with our neighbours who had a wheelchair so their stateroom door also slammed when they entered or left. On occasion the pool deck above was noisy, I assume from cleaning as lots of sunbeds were moved around at about 7am for half an hour.

All in I would still book this cabin again, so much so I've booked the same room on Equinox for next year anyway!

SHIP: Solstice

CABIN #: 1607

DECK #: 11

CLASS: Royal Suite

AREA: Port on the 'hump'

BED NEAR: N/A - Separate bedroom

QUIET?: Yes

BALCONY VIEW: good

BALCONY SIZE: large

WIND A PROBLEM?: Not particularly

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: The location was excellent being right next to an elevator bank, but having a wall between the stateroom and the elevators - there was no long trudge down the hall after eating too much in Luminae! The noise level is completely tolerable and my husband would tell you I do not tolerate noise. Occasional footsteps could be heard overhead but that wasn't bothersome.

Ship: Reflection

Cabin #: 9307

Deck #: 9

Class: Concierge

Area: Aft

Bed Near: Balcony

Quiet: Yes, very quiet most of the time. Some rattling in the morning when docking but nothing that bothered us. Noise was always over very quickly.

Balcony View: Unobstructed and fantastic. Loved the Aft view and watching the wake!

Balcony size: Good size. Large enough for 2 x chairs, 2 x footstools and table.

Wind: Not a problem at all.

Soot: On one or two occasions there was soot on the balcony. Our cabin steward had warned us about this which was great. The balconies were cleaned daily and it wasn't an issue at all for us.

Comments: Fantastic view and loved the cabin. Larger bathroom than we have experienced on other cruise lines. No Aft elevators or stairs so lots of walking to mid ship but this didn't bother us in the slightest.

We would definitely look to book an Aft cabin again. :)

SHIP: Equinox

CABIN #: 6162

DECK #: 6

CLASS: 2C veranda

AREA: starboard midship, but closer to front

BED NEAR: bathroom

QUIET?: yes

BALCONY VIEW: partially obstructed; white posts between lifeboats are outside this cabin. Other cabins along the same hall also in 2C were less obstructed as they overlooked the lifeboats themselves.

BALCONY SIZE: regular

WIND A PROBLEM?: no

SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We would have preferred one of the other cabins along the same corridor overlooking a lifeboat (rather than between lifeboats) as those cabins did not have the white poles sticking up.

Is anybody co ordinating all these responses and putting them into the spreadsheet or are we wasting our time.

There was the original person and then a 2nd person took over doing it.

I don't believe either one is sailing with Celebrity now......if you want

to take the job, go ahead. As for wasting time? I still think the

spreadsheet is very helpful....just my opinion.

Deck - 11

Cabin # - 1610

Class – Aqua

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Yes

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No Obstructions

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized; angled off the hump

Was wind a problem? NO

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? NO

Any specific problems with this cabin? YES

Any other comments? When on balcony there was a large ventilation air vent that made a constant loud white noise. If you stood at the balcony rail and looked back toward the sliding door and up...you will see the area of the intake (the area leading to the intake). A bit irritating since it was never quiet out there.

Just returned from Alaska July 2015

SHIP: SOLSTICE

CABIN #: 9272

DECK #: 9

CLASS: Deluxe Balcony

AREA: Midship by Card Room & main elevators

BED NEAR: balcony. Not my fav. Would rather have it near bath and have seating area by balcony.

QUIET?: Did hear music from Atrium at night but didn't bother us. Busier area as it was close to doors for Card room and elevators. Fine for us, we like quick access to stairs and elevators.

BALCONY VIEW: straight out since on the wide area of midship. We shared balcony with bro/wife in 9274 so we opened it up. Like not looking at all the balconies along with view.

BALCONY SIZE: Normal for Solstice class. Better than Regal/Royal Princess-just ridiculous! They didn't have the foot stools for lounge chair and kept forgetting to ask if available. Very comfortable.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: This cabin is next to hump and we could have had 9270 with huge covered balcony on hump but we were told that you couldn't open between when we booked. So we went to other side with 9274. Didn't ruin trip but would have been excellent. Learned not to listen to X Planners! Do research. 9272/9274 have the entry door connecting option which we didn't care about. Good for families with kids. So maybe that what X planner thought.

BALCONY VEW: Good

BALCONY SIZE: 1.5 times size of standard balcony

WIND: not an issue

Soot: None that I noticed

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: None.

Ship: CABIN: A1 1608

DECK : 11

CLASS : Aquaclass

AREA: Midships

BED : near window

QUIET: some noise from overhead footsteps and sun beds being dragged, but minimal

BALCONY ; Oversize on the hump with excellent views forward to the bridge and down to the water.

Sunnier than most in Aquaclass as you don't have so much overhang so you do get sun on the balcony.

WIND: can be windier than some because of forward view, as less protection from the balcony divider. But not a problem on this itinerary as very cool so didn't spend much time on the balcony

SOOT: not a problem

PROBLEMS: none

LOVED this stateroom!

SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN: S1 1668

DECK # 12

CLASS: Sky Suite 1

AREA: Aft corner starboard

BED: middle; side closest to bathroom has to navigate around a support pole; no issues.

QUIET: VERY. However on one of the days we tendered, the vibrations from the ship were so severe that one of the sconces above our bed fell off and broke. It didn't bother us.

BALCONY VEW: Awesome.

BALCONY SIZE: Wraparound.

WIND: not an issue if you are aft; on the side it was kind of windy.

SOOT: Yes, but we aren't complainers. Truthfully our sailing had such rough, windy weather that we couldn't really use the verandah anyway. The soot build-up required an every other day clean-up. Our cabin stewards didn't really keep up with the cleaning because they surmised we weren't using the verandah.

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: None.

BONUS: This stateroom and it's Concierge Class neighbor share a foyer. There is a door (only opens with key card) that opens into an area where the doors to 1668 and the other cabin's front doors are. It's EXTREMELY private! We loved this cabin!! We bumped into our neighbors only once or twice. This set-up would be perfect for a family needing two cabins but not those that are adjoining.

We'd take this stateroom again without hesitation.
