She is still a beautiful ship and looks very well. The beds need to be upgraded, my only complaint, well that and some of the staff were not very nice people.

Costa Atlantica which is the most beautiful ship I've been on but was our worst cruise ever. It took me 10 years to get back on a ship! :eek:

1999 RCI Sovereign of the Seas - our honeymoon which DH was in charge of planning and arranging---wonder if he regrets his choice? LOL

NCL's Sunward, 1967 -- 3-days, Miami to Nassau. NCL was an auditing client of DH's firm so we were upgraded from the $89 cabin to a suite -- heaven!

Next cruise was on Sitmar's Fairsea w/DD in 1974 (she was 2 1/2); that's the trip that really sold us on cruising -- great family time!:)

Carnival Carnivale 1984 (32000 GT) ...We had a group of 7 guys in our mid 20's and had the time of our lives!! I still remember thinking how big that ship was back then. LOL...We left Savannah at 2 AM to drive to Miami Sunday morning for a motel stay overnight to catch the boat Mon. morn. It was prolly the best time I've had up to that point in my entire life.. So many "things" happened on that cruise...:D

Her sister the Majesty is just as classy!

I remember responding to a similar thread some time ago.

Anyway, mine was the Jolly Roger. It was a Peter Pan theme ride in Anaheim California in the late 1950's. :D Here is a photo:

NCL Sunward, all of 8,000 gross tons, as part of our honeymoon in June 1967.

Didn't cruise again until April 1986 on the Song of America...a cruise we won in a New Years party raffle! The rest is history for us.

My first cruise was on the Costa Mediterranea in 2005 out of Ft. Lauderdale to the Caribbean. Sailed on it again in 2006

Absolutely wonderful ship at the time and wonderful Italian crew.

Great memories and we are still cruising. :D
