we will be in Cartagena from 0700-1300, a pretty quick visit.

How readily available are the horse and carriages..are they close to the pier or do you catch a taxi to get there? any idea of cost for a carriage tour?

Thank you,Kelly

HI all!

Sorry I can't comment on that but do want to point out the lovely park/zoo at the port that somebody on these boards mentionned. It was a lovely oasis in the heat & many I spoke to on our Thomson Dream cruise were unaware of it. It has Flamingoes, Parrots, Monkeys, caged birds & wandering Peacocks so if that's something you're interested in check it out.

Anybody I spoke to who took the carriage shore excursion was quite happy with it.

We loved Cartagena & hope to return there some day.

We got a ride for $20.00 only for 3 of us. They stop near "fat woman statue" in old city. Ride is about 30 min. I believe ship charges 35$ pp. Taxi ride from port to Old City is $20 and $10 back.
