Mobile internet on Qld coastal cruise?

Hi. We are doing a short cruise from Brisbane to the Whitsundays. What are the chances of being able to connect to my Virgin mobile 4G internet (on Optus network) on my phone when we have sea days? Would we be cruising close enough to the coast/mobile tower to get the occasional signal?

Hi, just back from cruising the top end which included cruising the Whitsunday Coast. We had a 4g Telstra WiFi dongle and we were able to access the internet whenever land was in view. Would assume Optus would have similar coverage.
