Shuttle Fares and payment in Victoria

Princess has shuttles awaiting at the pier in Victoria. I have read the round trip fare is (or was) around $11 Canadian. How do we pay? Credit Card, get U.S.D exchanged earlier? Thanks

On the ship beforehand in USD (expect to pay $10), or cash when you board (both USD/CAD).

But considering a taxi is only CAD$10 to downtown each way, and it will take you anywhere you like, and if you feel up to walking one-way but not the other they won't charge for a round-trip unlike the shuttles - the best way to pay for the shuttles it NOT to pay them at all;-)

Please don't count out walking at least one way, as mentioned. It is an easy, level, beautiful walk through residential neighborhoods filled with trees and gorgeous flowers. The shuttle bus is there to capitalize on making people think it is a long walk to the downtown core, but it actually isn't.

You can cab it back if you get tired. Enjoy your day! :)

Thanks Karen, it does sound wonderful, however one of our group cannot do the walk. Might take a taxi for the 4 of us if they take Credit card. ;)

^With four of you, a cab is DEFINITELY the way to go if you can't all walk (it's only just over a mile direct, maybe twice that if you stick close to the water). Credit Cards are accepted by all Victoria cabs, unless they've got a broken machine (possible - but more likely the driver is holding out for cash, especially USD to be charged at an inflated rate. Just tell the driver before getting in that you only have credit cards).

The ~$US40 shuttle fares you save would let you take a cab to downtown near Empress/Royal BC Museum, hop in others to Fishermans Wharf and Chinatown areas if even a ~half-mile is too much for the whole group, get back to the ship and likely still have change left after tipping generously.
