Early Luggage transfers

Viking Sun World Voyage, 141 days, embarking 12/15/2017 is the first Grand Voyage that I signed onto that doesn't offer free unlimited luggage pickup from home to ship and from ship to home at the voyage end. This is a big disappointment for a Grand Voyage :(

Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention. Although we regret to hear that you’re disappointed in the luggage arrangements for our upcoming World Cruise, through the onboard facilities and additional services we have arranged to provide, we are confident that your needs will be met.

This topic was recently addressed in another thread – in fact, the one Peregrina651 so kindly referred you to – but, at the risk of repeating ourselves, we wanted to provide you with the same helpful information here.

While not unlimited, we are happy to inform you that Viking has partnered with Luggage Forward to provide two free bags per stateroom at embarkation in either Miami or Los Angeles. As we anticipate that many of our guests might purchase items during their travels, we have also negotiated reduced fees to accommodate any bag or box shipping at the end of the voyage. This discount will be available for all of our World Cruise guests.

Additionally, with Free Business Class air, guests may bring up to two bags, free of charge, aboard the flight. Coupled with our free laundry service, available launderettes and casual ship environment, we anticipate that guests should be able to bring all they need to enjoy their time aboard.
