After searching the forum and the internet regarding places to park in Long Beach I found that there is a site called Long Beach parking guide that shows numerous parking garages at very low rates...I picked the $8.00 a day garage and intend to take the free bus offered by the city of Long Beach to the port.

What is the address? Most don't allow overnight parking.

We sometimes park at the Patsaouras building (801 S. Vignes St.) at Union Station for $8/day. It is covered. We take the Red/Purple Metro line, transfer to the Blue Line down to Long Beach and hop on the Passport bus to the port.

Yes, you can post the link. Only links you can't post are to FB and most other cruise websites.

Which lot are you going to parking at? The map showed all the lots in the LB area.

  • 1 month later...

On our Feb cruise we parked at the Bank of America lot at Long Beach Blvd and East Broadway (entrance on E broadway). $70 for the week. Cash only.

Then took an Uber to the boat and back. Very easy to get. $5 each way.

There used to be a great, cheap lot at Ocean btw pine and pacific, but now there is a big building going up.

Hello there. Is it still just $8 a day, even though the car stays there for almost 8 days? Just wondering since the rate seams it could be just for one day. I want to do this option, coming from San Diego, but want to be sure.

That garage shows $8 for a day with validation from the aquarium or from "yacht cruise" or from one other place.

It is not $8 a day for a whole week!

The daily rate looks like $15.

Can anyone verify this who has parked there for a week? I know it wouldn't be $8/week, but without those 2 validations, is it possible to get a bill for just $56-$64?

If you get a validation (means spending money at a place that validates) only one validation is accepted therefore you pay $8 plus $15x6 ie. $98 dollars. Note, there are no attendants and must be paid by credit card. Machine reads parking ticet then insert credit card then validated ticket put in machine at exit.

Adding on....

But, can only get validated if you enter and pay at those places. Really, how much money would you be saving? The extra few dollars makes up for the inconvenience of having to take the Passport Bus or other transportation.

7days at the pier is $133. Entry to the Aquarium is at least $27 (Senior rate). For the extra $8 ($98 + $27= $125) I'd park at the pier.

The Aquarium is very nice to visit. Love the touch pools and the Jelly Fish exhibit.
