QV QG Theatre Box

Hi, if i was to try an organise a box in the theatre, which is the best night (formal night?), and time for shows and how do i do this?

Plus is anything included? Is there a charge in QG?

Shows are usually 8.30 & 10.30, boxes are free of charge on informal nights and there are often some available on formal nights as well.

On formal nights there is usually a production show and boxes can be booked for a charge. This includes champagne and desserts. I haven't done this, so others will have to advise.

The charge is the same no matter what accommodation you are in.

We have booked a box a couple of times. Not sure I'd do it again since the mini desserts are very, very sweet and made me feel extremely sick, and the champagne wasn't one I would choose, however, it is a great way of viewing the big shows.

We booked via the Grill's Concierge and chose which night and which box we wanted.

The package includes a photo with (or of) the cast so it's only done on show company production nights, not for guest performers. On other nights you can just wander in. You can also use them for the lectures but if the lecturer is using PowerPoint it's not great as you have to look through the glass.

I have done this a couple of times on QV. You can book with the Concierge in the QG lounge. You meet in a reserved area near the boxes for the desserts and you are escorted to the box for the show by bell boys. I found the Veuve Clicquot Champagne quite nice. It is a very enjoyable event.
