Next step in cruise selection

My DH has cruised for many years He really would love to do a 14 day round trip transatlantic on the QE2. I have only cruised onceb 7 days on Caribbean holiday and we have a 7 day Alaska cruise in 2017. What does anyone suggest as a next step? I feel I should work up to more sea days and less ports. He enjoys HAL so that's all I experienced. Give me your thoughts please

First, I think you mean QM2, as QE2 was retired in 2008. I would love to do 14 days on the QM2. She's a lovely ship with so many things to do on the sea days. But then, we love sea days. EM

Look at the Cunard schedule. I think you'll find they no longer do weekly crossings. The only way to do roundtrip transatlantic on Cunard is to plan on spending a week or two in Europe before the return crossing.

If you think you wouldn't enjoy sea days then find a cruise with 2 or 3 sea days and see how you tolerate them. Personally I love sea days. Very relaxing to have a non-schedule. But you could also fill each day with ship activities.

Periodically Cunard does 15 or 17 day round trip Transatlantic from New York.
