Transportation from IAH to Galveston

We will be flying in October on Saturday morning for a Sunday cruise departure. What is the best option for getting to Galveston? Can the shuttle service from IAH provide a transfer to any Galveston hotel or only selected hotels? Thanks!

Would like to hear responses for my cruise.

I used a shuttle provided by Galveston Limo on my last cruise out of Galveston. The service was very good. I would not hesitate to use them again. They can provide service from the airport to the cruise port or to a hotel.

We are alos cruising in October out of Galveston and I've checked with a dozen or so shuttle companies and found Galveston Limo to be reasonable and they responded back to my e-mails quick.

We have 6 of us from IAH to port round trip for $300 total.

They told me they couldn't p/u at local hotel that we had to go to IAH airport to catch the shuttle.

Not sure if i want to cruise out of Galveston again with the hassle to get to port and back.

Try Galveston Express...They have a 15% discount if you use "EXPRESS" in the promo field and they also give a discount if you are over 55yrs old.

I booked from Hobby to Port and from port to IAH for $50/pp with Cruise Connection. It does suck that I have to go back to the airport to be picked up, but this was the most affordable option.

We live in Dallas We are headed out of Galveston port on October 21. I hear the port is open but how are the roads from here to there but so much has been destroyed from Harvey. Is the bridge still in tact or does anyone no of a better rout to take?

Galveston Island is open for business.

I45 has no damage .

Bridge ( causeway) has no damage .

I45 South - NASA Road One to 518 to 517 to 646 is under construction and at times can have lane closures.

I45 South between Beltway 8

And NASA One construction in past is complete with 10 main lanes. Big improvement ! ��
