ground transportation & lodging

- New to cruise critic and these topics might be covered but I am not finding them.

- Flying in a day early to Ft Lauderdale and cruising out of Miami on the Norwegian. Party of 16. feb 2016

- Looking for recommendations on whether to lodge near airport and travel to ship next day or is it better to lodge close to ship? Hotels you would recommend?

- How can I keep the ground transportation costs down but still dependable?

- Thanks in advance for any help you might give.
