When is the best time to book a holiday Caribbean cruise.

If you look around the board you will see many questions on this topic. The answer, generally there isn't a "best" time. If there was, everybody would wait until then, the cruise lines would catch on, and raise the prices then. As most cruise lines will honor any price drops up to final payment, you can book early, and in most cases, get any price drops.

That being said, holiday cruises tend to have heavier demand, and therefore higher prices. I would not wait to book a holiday cruise. Waiting too long may leave you without a cruise. And waiting too long might expose you to very high holiday airfares.

As soon as you know you want to go is the best time. Most lines allow for price reductions, should they occur...or an upgrade...

Agree! Christmas and New Year's Cruises do tend to sell out quickly.

To get the type of cabin in a location you wish ... it's best to book early. ;)

For me the best time to book any cruise is when the schedules are first released, so 18+ months out.

We did a cruise the week before Christmas and booked 18 months in advance. The price went up steadily during that time.

I personally would avoid a holiday cruise...too overpriced ;)

We have done 2 cruises over Christmas and New Years and each time we say never again. There are seldom deals on these cruises they are sold out early. Every lower berth, ever drop down bed, every sofa bed and every cot is full....the ships are filled to the gunwales. Unsupervised children are running everywhere and acting up at the dinner tables...obviously these cruises do work for families and extended families and I know of lovely families who have been doing them for years.... but I think we have had our fill of holiday cruises. Bah Humbug!.

Holiday Cruise are very popular.

I would book sooner rather than later and usually the prices of these cruises go up rather than down.
