Hello,

My daughter will be joining my sister on a cruise . We are loyal to the Royal so we are used to cruising, but we are finding it difficult to gather information about her upcoming cruse.

She leaves this Tuesday for a 11 day cruise on costa neoriviera?

Can she bring bottled on the cruise- for instance get a 12 pack and put a luggage tag on it?

Is there a charge for room service?

does anyone know at what age can a young adult leave the ship unsupervised?

and i read that it is important to have her shoulders and knees covered, is that really so??

she is going to Italy and the southern ports?

any help would be appreciated- thanks

OK here goes:

a. You are not allowed to bring any sort of liquid, be it water non-alcoholic or alcoholic drinks onboard. Buy the EXTRA All Inclusive Drinka package for €25. p.p.p.d. Can be bought onboard.

b. If she is in a premium cabin then there is no charge for room service, if not then there is a (thinks) cover charge of €2.95

c. How old is old? Adults in Europe are full adults at the age of 18, they can even drink alcohol onboard.

d. As Italy is a catholic country, it is best to dress accoringly if visiting churches.

there was a time internationally when all cruise lines had no liquids allowed.

however, I normally brought my own bottled water, because I am very picky about water, and also brought diet tonic due to leg cramps.

is costa, going to be that strict about water?

The following is from Costa USA Web Site

Personal Food & Beverage Items Arriving at Embarkation

Company Health and Safety standards for Guests and Crew Members strictly prohibit Guests from bringing any kind of drink or food onboard in hand or cabin luggage.

From Costa UK:

It is also prohibited to carry food and drink on board in your hand baggage or cabin luggage. Further information can be found in the “Security” section.
