Drinking age in Amber Cove?

Since Amber Cove was developed by Carnival, do the "ship rules" apply there like on Half Moon Cay, where the drinking age is 21? My 18-year-old nephew is going there on a cruise and wants to know if he'll be able to drink.

The legal drinking age in the Dominican Republic is 18. I can tell you when we were there at the swim up bar I didn't see one person get proofed. There's no need to show sail and sign card so my best guess is that he will be able to drink while in port at Amber Cove. I'll be back there again in September and will get a definite answer for you if you can wait that long!
