Raiatea, French Polynesia and iPad with AT&T global service.

Before sailing here I tried to find out if my iPad with AT&T service was going to work on the island, but no information was available.

The good news, it works well. The service here is provided by "VINI" and I get a good 3G signal here at the port in Uturoa. Ping rates at 476-500 ms, but goes higher at times. Did not check bandwidth since data is expensive, $60 for 300mb.

We are docked, but the weather is horrible. Waiting for the rain to slow down. All excursions on the HA Westerdam have been cancelled so now on to plan B.
