Is someone able to list the CURRENT head officers on board the ships for those of us who are new to NCL and others? Then if they move we can see where they've been.

I know it's not an easy task, so if someone is able to do it, it is much appreciated!

Yeah, but that thread is 50 pages! :eek: In order to get your ship's information, you have to first find it, then read through any possible changes. That is so time consuming on such a long thread.

I was hoping we could start the year with a new list, where changes could be added. Maybe it's too much for a single person to post. Perhaps people who recently cruised could share their ship's personel, like Callmehalia above. (Thank you!)

It's not for me, so much, because my ship's personel hasn't been announced yet. But I guess ours will be coming from these other ships.

Does service or the overall cruise experience vary based on who holds these positions? How would one cruise be different with a different Executive Staff?

Sure can!

On my upcoming Getaway cruise, Captain Tommy will be onboard.

The last time I saw Captain Tommy, was on the Sun in 2011 and he gave me a cheque for $10,000. It will be nice to see him again.

The Hotel Director, who can open any closed door, is Sean. Sean is amazing, and would likely be tied with Klaus for the way he runs his staff.... which greatly affects the crew happiness, and ultimately the customer experience. My favourite HDs are Klaus, Sean, Prem, Armando & Jenny. Hearing that they're on board, means that the experience will be top-notch. This in no way means other HDs won't have the same effect, but these 5 were the best.

Let me put it another way. A search in my prior posts will show that the reason I came back to NCL after straying to Princess for 1 cruise, was that at NCL I feel not like a customer....but like family....or at least a friend.

And who doesn't like to be re-united with their friends? NCL's culture is one of casualness and friendliness.....which radiates from the top-down.

Knowing who is at the top, will give a good sense of how things are on the street-level.

I consider this list with the names as a cheat sheet for me. My young daughter has a life threatening allergy and within the first 30-60 minutes of boarding I am meeting pretty much everyone on these lists with the exception of the Cruise Director and Captain. Having their names ahead of time written down lets me feel more comfortable during out meeting that I can quickly confirm their names and add their handy phone numbers to my list for later reference. It saves the how do you spell your name or the here's my card which I then desperately try to keep from getting lost in the hustle of just boarding, meeting everyone and trying to get lunch.

I'd like to add to Stephen's answer, if I may. He is speaking from the perspective of a longtime Norwegian cruiser. (And very well, I might add!) I have not yet had the pleasure, but it is coming.

I do not CURRENTLY need the info as I'm not yet familiar with the names. But as I am reading posts throughout the year, I will have a place where I can "connect the dots."

Looking at the 2014 thread, all the names thrown around all over is confusing. This will give all of us a place to start for information, reviews, even other non related posts. And having it on the first page of the thread will help those that are reading this later in the year.

I am also someone who feels I can't read TOO much information. I'm sure I'm not alone with my compulsiveness with planning and research before a cruise! If I can't use the info right away, I now have a place to start if and when, at some point, I do.

We absolutely love NCL, I recently called every other cruise line because extended family wanted to go on a cruise and no one else can compare to the level of attention to detail and accommodations that NCL makes for my daughter. The Sun update Mary posted was from October, and last I heard he was still on the Sun. He may have been on vacation at that time.

We had him 2 years in a row on the Sun and absolutely loved him. My son can be shy and he had him up on the stage dancing during the White Hot Party.

Have to totally agree with you! Richard and his whole team were fantastic!
