SD I Land Adventures

We're departing on the January 16 voyage from Marigot to Barbados on SeaDream I. This will be our second trip on SeaDream--we sailed the same week in 2015, and loved the ship, the crew and the experience!

We're looking at several of the land adventures, and welcome any feedback from trips so far this season. Specifically, we are considering the Clear Kayaking on Ile des Saintes, the Cat Sail to Tobago Cays off Mayreau and the "Unique Mustique" out of Bequia. Any insight will be most welcome.

We plan to rent a car and explore St. Barts, and probably swim/water toys off the ship in St. Lucia. We enjoy tracking the reports and comments about SeaDream on this forum--lots of fun between sailings.

Thanks!

We did Unique Mustique 2 years ago. The island was on lock-down the day we went because Prince William and Kate were vacationing. It was still fun. We weren't allowed to roam the island or take photos, but they organized a lunch for us at "The Cotton House" and then we walked around near the dock and had a drink at Basil's Bar. Even with the restriction, it was a fun day. The island is much more modern than most Caribbean islands. One thing to note, the boat ride to Mustique was rough, don't know if that's a general thing or just specific to our trip. We're sailing the reverse itinerary of yours the first week in February. If you decide to do the clear kayaking in Iles de Saintes, let me know your thoughts, that's one we're contemplating. Have fun!

piratelooksat45: Appreciate the insight on Mustique--not sure when we will get another chance to visit, so we will probably try this excursion--will look for Basil's Bar.

Cruzin Terri: Not sure what kind of kayaks they'll use--we've usually had single kayaks on similar excursions.

Thanks!
