Love your review! We sailed the Magic June 4 and miss it! We had a blast too.

Two things. Wait, 3 things.....

1) that lame magic show was lame to my 10 yr old too! The kids don't like it either! lol

2) I love that bacon Mac n cheese and was disappointed it was never served again after the first night. Guess I lucked out though since you didn't get it at all!

3) Rent Mosquito spray? What?!! haha

Love, love, love your review. Your personality shines through. One of the best reviews I have read on here. There were issues on your cruise but the way you handled them is AMazing.

We board the magic this coming Saturday. So excited after reading your review. Thank you!

What are your staples you pick up in Cozumel?

Soooo agree with you about people waiting until they get to the security guards to try and find their sign and sail card and their ID!!!

Did you or W have a favorite slot machine in the casino?

I have enjoyed your review so much, sad it is almost over, soo funny!

This is great fun to read! I love your family's attitudes even if W does get a little cranky standing in lines. I do too, so I get that.

Your evening prayers are one of my favorite things.

I guess it's nice they don't make you buy a whole can of bug spray?

LOL yes W is a mess when he has to wait!! [emoji23] We can laugh about almost anything though, and that really helps! [emoji15]

Thanks so much for joining me on this journey! [emoji7]

My family loved the bacon Mac n cheese too. So good. if you search online for carnival bacon Mac n cheese you can get the recipe and make it at home. Makes a huge batch but freezes well

Sweet! Thanks for the tip! I will have to do that for W since it was all my fault that we missed it! [emoji50]

I have so enjoyed your post!! My husband and I are from South Georgia and are so looking forward to our cruise on the Magic Sept 17. I wish the cruise lasted as long as the wait for the cruise!!

Wow sounds like that's a short drive too! [emoji106]🏾 I'm so glad the Magic is in Port Canaveral now! It's so much easier to get to for us! [emoji847]

The day that we were looking forward to was here, but it was bittersweet. It was also our last port day. Yayyyyyy AND Booooooooooo!!!!

My alarm went off at 7:45 and we got up at 8. After a quick shower, we headed to Lido. I had a breakfast burrito with arepas. Let me explain something about the arepas. They are a warm, toasty, bread-ish crust, filled with a ooey gooey melted cheese scrumptiousness!! A breakfast dream come true!!!! Just Extra Fabulous!!!

Let's pause for the cause!

The Lido was not really crowded when we got there. We were able to eat quick then meet T and K at 9. We got off of the ship together then we walked through the port shopping area to the Information Desk. We took a "shuttle" to YaYa Beach. It was $3 per person.

This is what they called the "Shuttle"

Can somebody say death trap????

When we arrived, Markam and Gabriel got us setup for the day. They even moved our lounge bed into more shade! Yessssss OMG they get it!!! High Five!!! I could already tell that this would be wonderful! We got menus and were told to ask for whatever we wanted. So we settled in and did just that. We had reserved the Standard Package which was $35 per person and it included the sun bed and lounge chairs with umbrella and unlimited bar. Wait. Did you say unlimited bar??? Why yes, yes I did!!! Everything on the drink menu was included! Markam really took great care of us throughout the day! She kept coming to check on us and she brought our drinks really fast. Before we could finish one drink, she would come and take our order for the next one. This woman was top notch!!

We used the free WiFi while we were there, and everything was right with the world. All the planets were aligned perfectly!!!! This spot was on and poppin'!!!

W and I enjoying Yaya!!

My view for the day

28423122895_efdc6a3d61.jpg

Evidence that I did get up from my lounger!

The only not so great thing was the vendors coming through every few minutes. They were selling everything: bracelets, hats, purses, silver, mango, chips, and small children! Just kidding about the small children, but there was a man who was partially blind, singing for “teeps” towards his eye surgery! (I think he was legit too, because I kept trying to hand him money, but he would not take it until he was done with his song!Talk about being "goal oriented"!!) Since there were not that many guests there as early as we were, it got kinda annoying. I felt like I needed a sign that said "No gracias!" so I wouldn't have to keep saying it. Then as more people showed up on the beach the vendors spread out and we saw them a lot less.

After 5 drinks or so K started laughing at everything and we could tell that she was in her happy place! She had to be escorted to the restroom by T to make sure that she made it ok (she could’ve gotten lost). The ship was set to leave at 3, so we agreed that we would start back at 1 (we always try to be back early so we don’t appear in anyone’s pier running videos!). That time flew by because we were truly having a great time. K was kinda incoherent going back so we didn't bother explaining anything to her anymore. We kept it simple. Walk here, turn there, get in the cab, get your ship card etc. The next time we are going to just get her one of these monkey backpacks with the leash attached to it to make it a lot easier!

In case you've never seen one:

The cab ride back was $2 per person and it was a quick 10 minutes. T asked K to hold the money so that he could look for something, but she couldn't because she didn't really know where her hands were or what their function was. So I helped him out. I know right, I'm such a good sister!

After a quick pass through the shops at the port we were back on the Magic. T took K to lie down and W and I went to Serenity. We hit Lido for lunch before they closed up then we napped until it was time to get ready for our final elegant evening.

We got the pager around 7 pm and we were seated at 7:30. Dinner was slower and more relaxed than first elegant evening. I had crab cake, grilled shrimp, and the filet mignon and beef short ribs. Dessert was Grand Marnier soufflé.

After dinner we still had lots of time, so we changed and met in the line for the comedy club at 9. They let us in a few minutes later, and by about 9:20 the lounge was already full. They blocked off all access around 9:30. Michael Macy was the comedian this time and he was ok. There was lots of audience participation in this one, which is not always good because we couldn't hear what they were saying. We weren't too tired yet, so we decided to see the next show also. We got up then walked back around to join the line for the next show. The people who got out after us wanted to just join the line right by the piano bar instead of heading to the back so W and K kept telling them where the line ended. T and I reminded them that this was STILL the "Mind your own business tour" but this time they wouldn't listen. Oh well, you win some, you lose some!

Soon enough they started letting people back in, so we pretty much had our same table. There were some people who hung around and just jumped in the line instead of going to the end, but K and W couldn't get all of them (and believe me, they tried!). We enjoyed the second comedian who's name is Nery Saenz, better than the first! He was very funny! After that show it was late so we headed back to the cabin for the night.

No midnight snack for me tonight because I skipped the gym remember?

Before I went to sleep, I said a prayer thanking God that we got our money’s worth in Costa Maya, that K has us to look after her in her time of need, and that K and W didn’t get into a fight telling people to go to the back of the line at the comedy club!

TaTa For Now!
