ann141 Posted August 23, 2017 #2 Β Share Posted August 23, 2017 I hope so as I am on this cruise too.usually on a cruise with this amount of sea days there will be craft get togethers possibly tution but it depends on whether they have a guest art tutor onboard.:)
tartanexile81 Posted August 23, 2017 #3 Β Share Posted August 23, 2017 Depends how long the cruise is. There's usually something informal in the Planet Bar (seen it called a Knit and natter) on short cruises. On longer ones there's classes
Goosebear Mum Posted August 24, 2017 #4 Β Share Posted August 24, 2017 You'll need 6 or more sea days for art classes. https://ask.pocruises.com/help/PO/life-on-board/Onboard_Activities

happytravelleruk Posted August 24, 2017 #6 Β Share Posted August 24, 2017 I did an art class on Azura 4 years ago. The lady taking it was very good and we had an exhibition in the atrium at the end of the cruise.
Goosebear Mum Posted August 24, 2017 #7 Β Share Posted August 24, 2017 Yes, I enjoyed the art cruise last Christmas too. The tutor made it easy for everyone. Such a shame p&o crammed it into a minute corner of the Crows Nest, so there was almost no room for even elbows!

Scriv Posted August 26, 2017 #10 Β Share Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) On Oriana on the Northern Lights cruise there were Art and Painting classes in the morning and afternoon - they seemed very popular. These were held in the Starboard corner of the Crow's Nest and had a teacher with a board and a microphone and people were sitting around a big table. Crafts meetings and Knitters and Knatterers get-to-gethers were also scheduled in the Crow's Nest in the morning and in the afternoon, but in the Portside corner of the bar. They didn't have a teacher as such - not sure if they were led by an Entertainments officer though. There was however a bit of a problem as the scheduling of these groups at the same time in the Crow's Nest took up a lot of the general seating and it was often very hard to get a seat if you just wanted a drink or a coffee or a read or to just sit and enjoy the wonderful view and/or watch the landscape or marine life. As we were in the Arctic with sub zero temperatures, more people than usual were searching for places to sit inside the ship, so the problem was exacerbated.
