All I can say is wow. The food is like slop. Very cheap ingredients. I'm actually at the point of being angry. This isn't the Celebrity I came like really like. This is a joke. Shore excursions also are pretty bad. Frankly I'd fire people over how things have gone. This company should be ashamed.

Been this way most meals. The great food that inspired us to sail Celebrity had been replaced with crap. Have a two week European booked for next summer. Going to explore other options when we get home and possibly cancel the Celebrity cruise.

In another post you said that the food in Windjammer (RCCL) was "dog food". What is better slop or dog food? Do they give you enough food?

Wow. We sailed on Silhuette in December and food was up to X standards. Great in mdr and almost the best (outside of Princess) in buffets.

Service in mdr wasn't that great usual though.

It's all cheap ingredients. In my opinion quality ingredients should be simply and freshly prepared. And speak for themselves. The food on this cruise is bad. Where had the good food gone? The cruise you reference was Grandeur. Was crap there too. Including speciality dining. Yes I am critical of this because it had been better. This feels so cheap. No happy. Who to complain to who will make changes? Spent a bunch of money in ur casino, is the host there able to fix ****?

I've been on Silhouette more than 10 times and would say that the food, especially in the Oceanview has been inconsistent. The last cruise was only so-so, the one before outstanding. The Executive Chef matters. Some of the Chefs are consistently wonderful, some are inconsistent Boarding Equinox on Sunday and we'll see. .

Fine. Steak Diane meat quality was crap. Eggs aren't fresh. Bread isn't fresh. But my biggest complaint is beef quality. It's bad.

Eggs weren't fresh? You mean they didn't have laying hens on board? For shame.

Sound to me like your the kind of person who isn,t happy with anything, anywhere you go.Nit picking at everything.Maybe you should stay home in your comfort zone where everything is perfect. Was on the Equinox in May and everything was fantastic.Enjoyed every minute of it.Life,s to short to nit pick at silly things and enjoy life to the fullest!!

The everyday steak on Ecliose last October was very poor - think and tasted as though it has been kept in a saline solution. Several people we met noticed this.

The Chateaubriand, however, in the MDR was excellent.

I enjoyed the fish in the MDR last year.

Breakfast is my husband's favorite meal so please help me understand. When you say the eggs aren't fresh do you mean they are not cooked to order while you wait, or that the eggs themselves are old, or that they use prepared egg mix for omelets and scrambles? Are you referring to the Benedict station where the various concoctions are kept warm?

For lunch, in Oceanview, do they have a pretty good salad bar - assorted greens, a variety of fresh veggies, potato salad, pasta salad, julienned meats and chesses etc...? I hope so.

We had steak Diane on our last Silhouette cruise. They used tenderloin, but it was a small portion. For us, it was enough, especially with the sides and dessert. I was never hungry on that cruise. But I will say, the service was not as organized as other X cruises. The servers were nice, but seemed overwhelmed.

Have you spoken to the maitre d about the problem? The hotel director? It doesn't make sense to stew over this your entire vacation when there are crew on board that might be able to help.

And honestly? If I was that unhappy with the product, I wouldn't think twice about cancelling the two cruises you have in the pipeline. I'm sorry you're not having a wonderful time on your vacation.

For those who are not aware, most restaurants, hotels, and even cruise ships, do not use fresh eggs for their scrambled eggs, omelettes or other egg dishes. The "eggs" come from a carton which also contains butter and possibly milk as well. If you want "fresh eggs" on board, you have to ask for "fresh cracked eggs".

If you have a dairy sensitivity (which I do) it is wise to always ask the wait staff while ordering, before finding out the hard way that your eggs aren't just eggs. And, yes, they do taste different.

When we were on Silhouette, my husband thought the food was amazing! I am not a foody, I am good with salads and veggies. But he likes his meat and seafood. There was not one day that he had any complaints. He had fresh made eggs every day, fresh homemade croissants, etc.

Guess each to his own, but we have cruised since 1994 and have yet to feel the food is "crap"
