After the cruise

Can i get some opinions? I am thrilled to be able to return to the Dream with the kids and grandkids (ages, 13, 10, and 10 mos), 10/24-28. I scheduled Mickey's at home call for about an hour from now.(i get more excited than the kids)

We will have 2 nights at the end of the cruise before flying home from Orlando and was looking for suggestions on where you have visited while in the area. We have done the Disney parks twice, Nickelodeon twice and dont really want to go to Universal studios. I will probably go to Daytona beach just hang out if nothing else. I am hoping to do something with a "wow" factor

The older kids would probably like a day at the Kennedy Space Center.

Have you done the Disney Water parks? They are a lot less costly than the theme parks and a great day.

You mentioned not wanting to go to Universal, but if the kids are Harry Potter fans then you may want to consider it. The rides are intense and they may not be able to ride all of them, but the train and the 2 different parts of the park are wonderful to walk around with many things to do to keep kids busy. It can get pricey though, but if they are fans then it may be worth it. If they are not fans then I would stay far away from Universal, DW and I were not impressed with the park overall.

I would definitely spend a day at Kennedy, we went for the first time in over a decade last year and it was incredible. Maybe a water park and the Orlando Eye the other day?

We were considering doing the Disney parks the weekend before our cruise, but we have decided to just relax in Daytona Beach instead. The Hilton property there is nice with tons to do (though the hotel parking is hideous and watch out for the resort fees).

Single day park tickets are SOOOOOO expensive.

If you're ever interested in a great beach with a small-town, slightly upscale feel I would highly recommend Vero Beach, which is just an hour and 20 minutes south of Port Canaveral. The beach is beautiful and there are lots of cute shops and great restaurants all along Ocean Drive.
