Thank you for posting that amazing aerial footage!

My old home away from home!

God I HATE that ducktail so much!

Thank you again! And it's great you were respectful and responsible to the ship's and maintained your distance!

Not all drone operators are so much :(

(Skip to 4:57 for those only interested in seeing the Magic, but there are cool shot of of the Freedom of the Sea's before that)

I'm no drone expert but I would be careful operating them near ports. I think many are considered restricted areas and require either prior approval or are off limits all together (especially those close to airports). But maybe you did your due diligence before flying and if all legal it's a great video!

Yea, the duck tail design looks like an add on and destroys the ships lines.

Decks 1-4 should have been extended to continue the curve created by the verindas from decks 5 thru 10.

Wow, I never realized what the duck tail did to stern line.

Has anyone found a good side profile picture with the duck tail that I can try Photoshopping? Maybe if we get a good picture out there, DCL would create a better profile to the duck tail for if the Wonder gets one.

Yes, I wonder the same thing. And if they aren't, I bet they shortly will be.

I agree it destroys the lines.

Here are two pictures I found online. I won't post them as pictures as they are hi-resolution and will be massive, but here are the links:

I'm interested to see what you come up with!

The drone footage is really cool. I also wondered about how close they should be able to get to the ship. Take a look at this footage out of Port Everglades of the Independence of the Seas. Maybe there was permission granted by the cruise line.

So glad you all enjoyed it. With this being next to a Air Force station. And I like the wider shots of the ships. I wouldn't get that close. A little unsafe for me. One of my favorite parts of cruising is leaving your home port. Waving goodbye, enjoying the view. If you have a drone flying so close the ship. It takes that away from those people. But their are some really cool footage of these doing some really cool things :)
