Confused about Cheers Program

Question 1. Someone replied to a post that they had to pay the full 7 day price of the program when they purchased it on the 2 day. Is that correct or do you just pay for 6 days.

Question 2. Is the gratuity added toward the price of the 10.00 max ?

Example:Drink menu price $8.75 + (15% = $1.31) = $10.06

Or do you just get charged for the 8.75 ?

I'm not sure about question 1 but for #2 it would be 8.75

very few liquors are over $10, Kettle One and Belvediere were $9.95 and included on Cheers.

No. Good luck finding a cruiseline that extends their alcohol packages to be used on HMC.

NCL extends theirs on Great Stirrup Cay.......

I bought the package on the second day and only paid for the days remaining.

If you buy on the 2nd day, you will pay the days remaining.

Gratuity is charged up front on the per pay charge of the package. So as long as you are under $10 you are good to go. No extra.

And RCCL extends theirs on Labadee and Coco Cay. I don't think HAL (the only other cruise line to use HMC) has a drink package.

You pay for the number of days used. So if you do not purchase the package until the second day, you pay from the 2nd day forward.

$10 price point is just the base limit you can get with the package. Gratuity has already been paid (as has the drink). The limit is to just keep everyone for getting the most expensive alcohol with the package.

To be specific on the 15%, you are charged 15 percent on the COST OF THE PACKAGE. It matters not whether you buy one drink a day or 15. To calculate your cost, it's the length of the cruise (or one day less if buying on day two) times 49.95 times 1.15

This is how it's done on princess, so perhaps there was a miscommunication somewhere.
