Halloween on a Carnival Ship

Hey guys! I am planning a carnival cruise on the sunshine for my husband and I and our 9 kids. We leave on Halloween. Is there trick or treating or anything like that onboard? We already have costumes and stuff. Do they have any costume contests?

Doors get decorated by guests and there is a contest for best one.

Kids have scavenger hunts around the ship for treats. Costumes, special desserts, special photo backgrounds,

We've got our costumes ready to go! :D

Not sure how it's going to work if Halloween is embarkation day. They may move the festivities to another night.

I went as a Carnival Cruise excusion guide for cave tubing--complete with a fake nearly naked thonged butt! I had made an excursion sign copied from the website excursion for cave tubing and had on a swimming pool tube. Hilarious. I was picked to go on stage--because of the fake butt.

The winner was a macho guy in a bikini bra top, swim coverup skirt and a flower in his hair with full makeup calling himself Marcie.

There was a group of a zombie wedding party who spent 3 hours on very elaborate makeup and they were mightily ticked when they didn't win.

Just booked the imagination Boo Cruise leaving Ocf 31. I plan to wear parts of my costume to board and add the accessories later

We will be on the Valor for Halloween this year, and are not sure if we are going to get on the ship dressed up or if we will wait until later in the day. I think it will just depend on when the costume contests and stuff will be held. Not sure how we will figure it out, but anyway. We will probably have candy treats on our door for the kids if I can figure out a way to do it.

There were decorations and a costume contest on the Fantasy. We decorated the room too!

We're on the Victory Oct 26-31st. Hoping they have something for us!

“Frightfully Fun”, our Halloween celebration on board is always a fun and memorable time aboard a Carnival ship with a variety of fun-filled activities for all.

Halloween will be celebrated on October 31st on all ships listed below.

Ships will be decorated on embarkation day (or no earlier than October*26th*for longer cruises}

Guests ages 1-17 are invited to participate in a Halloween Hunt and Trick or Treat along the ship's promenade, through various public rooms as they stock up on candy.

Adult Costume Contest

Halloween Dance Party (Nightclub)

Halloween Movies (In-Cabin and/or Dive-In) - Special Dive-In movies screening of non-edited Halloween horror motion picture at midnight shown on Carnival’s Seaside Theatre(Breeze, Conquest, Dream, Freedom, Glory, Liberty, Magic, Splendor, Sunshine, Triumph, Valor, Victory and Vista)

Guests can have photos taken with special Halloween backdrops

Casino-Witching Hour tournament

Pumpkin Carving Contest (on select ships only)

Special Halloween desserts

Special drink cocktails

Carnival Team will be dressed in costume

Costumes:Children and adults are encouraged to bring costumes so they can participate in the always* interesting costume contest. Please note that we do not allow any toy or imitation weapons of any kind on board nor do we allow guests to wear masks.

Note:Real pumpkins are not permitted on board

The Vista will be overnighting in Bermuda on Halloween of 2016. That should be fun.

Halloween cruising is a blast... You will see some awesome costumes. I got selected for the contest.

Hope they do horror movies on Pride, I'd hate to miss that!
