Price of Patron Silver

I saw today what looked to be a new bar menu from Carnival, and the price of Patron Silver is now $11.95 (Up from $9.95 when I sailed several months ago) That's a pretty steep increase, and also puts it out of the range of the Cheers program :( Does anyone who has cruised recently have pictures of updated menus?

Would you mind sharing where you saw the new bar menu?

Your post leaves me wondering if Cheers program changes are pending.

Someone posted a pdf of it in an online cruise group that I am a member of. I can't figure out how to upload a picture of it... It is definitely a legit Carnival menu... What used to be the "ultimate margarita" is now the "margarita miracle" and is listed at $9.50

That's about what I pay for a shot of Patron Anejo. If its just the blanco then IMO they're overcharging.

Of course they are overcharging! All their drinks are. (Well, unless you live in New York or another big city, then it is standard going out prices...)

On Carnival's webpage, the are asking $105 for a bottle of it. That's crazy !

You're paying for the convenience of being able to have a bottle in your room. If you drink the whole thing, it is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying it one drink at a time at the bars. Keep in mind it is also a liter, which is more than the typical bottle in the US (but only a bit.) Think of it like Las Vegas bottle service. Have you seen the prices on that sort of thing? It is insanity. I've seen Patron Silver for $300+

You can't compare the prices to a local liquor store.

I'm seeing that the Patron Silver is now $9.95 according to the 2015 menu prices from the below website. I'm still trying to locate a current menu. I'd love to know what other website you saw the pdf.

I bought two shots of Patron Silver last week on Triumph. They were $9.95.

Thanks!!! My DH and I finish our nights off with a few shots of tequila. We purchase the Cheers card which is very much worth it to us... Walking on [emoji295]️ in 22 days!!!!!

I have never heard of a "margarita miracle" on a Carnival Cruise ship. The Ultimate Margarita was in place several years ago. Then it was changed to the "Classic Margarita" which was one of 8 drinks on the Classic Drink Menu with a price of $10.29 including gratuity. These drinks also earned you a $5.00 match play coupon for table games in the casino. That match play disappeared last year. And, the Classic Margarita recipe changed early this year from 1800 to El Jimador Silver, and from Cointreau to Patron Citronge. But there are still two shots of tequila in these drinks. Premium tequilas have always been available in any margarita for a $2.00 up charge. AND this was still in place on my May 31st, 2015 cruise on the Breeze and my July 11th, 2015 cruise on the Glory. In my opinion, putting a very high end tequila in a margarita is like putting Grey Goose (or higher) in a bloody mary.

What he said.

Top shelf liquor is good for shots, or straight up on the rocks. Anything else is really just pissing in the ocean.

However, I heard that upgraded liquor at the Alchemy Bar was only 1 dollar, making most if not all of the drinks there available under Cheers Program qualified with 1 liquor upgraded. I'm gonna have to research that, but I believe that's what I read somewhere.

I thought you were able to use cheers for any drink but had to pay the difference if the cost was greater than $10.00.

Not on Carnival... Anything over $10 you pay full price with a 25% discount... On NCL they let you pay the difference on anything over the $11 limit...
