Abu Dhabi downtown beach hotel?

I am curious about Sheraton. Any other moderate alternatives? I'd like to have a beach and a central location.

Any hotel search engine, such as booking.com, hotels.com or TripAdvisor will show a range of such properties. Usually they have maps that give you an idea.

I have no understanding of Abu Dhabi's geography and therefore invite input from travelers who have been there.

Would not stay at Sheraton... If you want that area (near the mall) -- would recommend the Rotana Beach instead.

If you would rather like a better beach stay on the Corniche side.

The Hilton is a nice property as is the IHC.

We lived in Abu Dhabi from 95-05 and the Sheraton was one of the older hotels even then. As stated the Beach Rotana is very central and a nice hotel ..right next door to a huge shopping mall. A lot of downtown hotels are not beach hotels ...though some of them have roof top pools

Of course I cannot comment on any of the newer hotels as I have not been there in a while.
