Arcadia uncovered balcony

Hi,

Thinking of taking a summer cruise on Arcadia, our 2nd with P&O, and was just wondering if there are any decks with uncovered balconies?

I can see there are some on the sun deck but are they classed as Balcony cabins or mini suites?

Also are there any decks with larger balconies like on the Princess ships.

Many thanks

Sun deck has 1 mini suite and the rest are just deluxe balcony cabins.

The balconies overlooking the aft of the ship on B deck are open and overlooked from above. Other than that all the balconies are partly shaded by a roof. D Deck balconies are smaller than the other decks. The Mid ship balconies are a little deeper than the forward and aft ones.

I have attached a photo in the post below which might help a bit ...you will need to enlarge it though! Havent fathomed out how to post a nice big photo like many others do!

Hope that helps!

As already mentioned, Arcadia has open topped balconies on the Sun Deck, near the Crows Nest.

The aft cabins are a combination of Suites on each corner and balcony cabins in the middle. They are partially uncovered - the edge of these balconies can be seen from the Lido Deck, where the Aquarius Pool is, however you can only see down to C deck. D deck is completely covered by a ceiling on each balcony, and E deck is too low to be seen.

Arcadia doesn't have any other uncovered, or partially uncovered, balconies.

If you want wider balconies than a standard balcony cabin size, you would have to have either a mini-Suite or Suite. These are situated on B deck in the centre of the ship (although there are 4 mini-Suites further forward, plus the 1 on the Sun deck).

Thank you all for your responses.

We're looking at forward cabins on A deck under the treatment rooms. Does anybody have any thoughts on these cabins?

We had cabins here and got some noise from above every morning so personally I would avoid.:)

Update,

We have taken the plunge and have booked cabins on A deck for a summer 2018 sailing. Hopefully there won't be visitors to the Treatment Rooms whilst we're sleeping 😴

Thank you all once again for your quick and comprehensive responses.

The noise we heard wasn't visitors to the treatment rooms, it was the staff moving things around in preparation for the day ahead. We were surprised that they did this so early. Hopefully it either won't be loud enough to wake you up, or they've stopped doing it.
