Distance from ship to town Baltic ports

Going on Baltic cruise. Want to know whether distance between ship and city is walkable or whether a coach transfer is required. Ports are:

Copenhagen

St Petersburg

Muuga

Estonia

Helsinki

Thanks

Copenhagen and Tallin are definitely within walking distance. St Petersburg is a long way from the centre of the city and Helsinki is also more than walking distance. Can't help out with Muuga.

Ah, in Copenhagen, it totally depends on which dock you are at.

St Petersburg is a long way, and as discussed here frequently, requires a visa to leave the port area.

When it is closer to the summer, the ports will list which dock your ship will use, and this will affect whether or not you can easily reach the center of town independently.

In St. Petersburg, you will need to either apply for a visa or go through a private tour or a ship tour to be let off the boat. The private tour companies are much less expensive and use smaller vehicles and have an easier time avoiding St. Petersburg traffic than the ship tours.

Here's a link to your previous similar question (+ answers), in case you can't find it

And a repeat that for St Petersburg you need to fix up a visa or a visa-free tour (the vast majority of folk opt for a simple and economic ship's or local operator's visa-free tour rather than a visa). Either option takes time, so don't delay too long.

I see that your Estonia port is Muuga, rather than the usual Tallinn.

I'm intrigued - what ship?

JB :)
