On Line Check In / Luggage Tags

I did on-line check in this morning for my October cruise, for my adult daughter and myself. I am Diamond, she is Platinum, and our printed Sea Passes indicate same. I checked myself in first, then her. When I got to the "Print Luggage Tags", the only one that popped up said "Platinum" on it. Is this normal? Is there something else I can do to get a "Diamond" tag (this is only my second cruise as Diamond); or should I just print out two "Platinum" tags and not sweat it, or wait until I get to the Pier? Which, I don't mind doing it either way, but would like to know if I am missing some kind of "trick".

I know, first world problems, but it would be good to know because we are booked on another cruise in February.

Thank you.

I don't know if there is corrective action you could take but as long as your SetSail Pass is correct, I wouldn't sweat it.

I have never heard of a Crowne and Anchor category priority for luggage.

There might be for suites.

I understand that all luggage is separated by decks and sections before being loaded on the ship.

Print the two platinum's & don't worry about it, as long as the cabin # is correct. If you do it at the port it will not say platinum nor diamond and they are hand written and not always easy to read. Means nothing on the luggage tags anyways. Have a great trip!

We had the same thing happen to us recently. We are Diamond PLus and took 2 granddaughters on the cruise. All our luggage tags said Gold. Didn't effect anything. Tried to get it fixed before, with no luck. Really didn't affect anything. Strange RC can't get this right, but oh well.

I believe Star class suites do but even then you're escorted I believe with your luggage so tags alone may not make a difference there either.

The same thing happened to me. When i called to see how to correct the problem they said to just use them as they were.

sort of off topic, but what if you upgraded?? How long does it take for them to re-issue luggage tags?? Thank you in advanced for HELPFUL information..

If I remember correctly, they don't - once your boarding docs are produced, your tags stay the same. Just give your new cabin number to the porters at embarkation.

It depends on how much time you have between the time you upgrade and your sail date.

They CAN and WILL reissue cruise docs that will have your upgraded luggage tags include if there is time to do so. If there is a change in cabins immediately before sailing they will not have time to reissue the docs.

In Jan 2015 we received a complimentary upgrade on Oasis and they reissued our cruise docs which included the new luggage tags.

If you have experienced a cabin change and there are more than say 5 working days before you sail, I recommend that you call either your TA or RCI directly and ask them to reissue your cruise docs. If they can, they will.

We have 32 days. Upgraded to a suite. Thank you for the help...
