Mary, we'll try again for a possible get together sometime in 2018. New itineraries past April of 2018 won't be out until March/April of 2017.

Nick, I called, I asked and booked us a B2B now on Harmony, adding 9/23/17 sail date to our 9/16/17 cruise. CR had good pricing for that sail date and we don't have to change rooms :)

Thanks, I did have a casino host tell me years ago that anything they gave us came out of our bottom line except for when we were invited to casino tournaments for those they did not count our drinks. Now with this new cert giveaway we are getting 2 for every 1 we use with both my DW and me in the program. Told her she is going to have to start taking her sister with her and I will stay home.

When we were getting cash rebates, perks like specialty dining, spa treatments, on board charges, etc. were subtracted from our cash rebate. Since the cash rebates have been eliminated, I don't know how CR is applying these perks to our account. I'm still receiving a comp for specialty dining with a bottle of wine and have not seen it to decrease my certificate offerings or CR cruise fares on sailings. I guess my next phone to CR, I'll ask them that question.

Spoke with CR representative....He said they just rolled first part of the program

Basically:

a) will be no VIP like we have all these years and no our VIP number

b) everyone how is playing in the casino will be consider as a vip casino player and everyone who will play will be track

c) depending of your play you will get certificate with from $50 off future cruise up to comp Balcony cabin

Then second part that they will not know when will be roll out --- Tiers levels

Also RC said that (he talk about me) still get free drinks and 5% waved fee and all other perks like free massagess/ wine/ steak house and so on.....BUT he didn't said anything about substracting from future benefits ...

Also I cannot understand why he said UP to free Balcony if I am getting comp JS already ...

It sounds like he was talking about the certificate they give out on the ship rather than what you might get from talking with Club Royale on the phone.

One question. If you don't book through Club Royale, how are you identified, to get the 5% fee waived?

are you a previous Club Royale member? (on the old program?) you can call CR at 18885612234.

each on board casino host will (should) have a list of CR members on each cruise and sticker to put on your card.

When I was on my last Royal Caribbean cruise, despite me calling Club Royale twice in advance to let them know about my upcoming sailing so they could arrange for my rebate (right at the tail end of that program), I found that onboard they didn't know I was going to be there. As such, they did not have my rebate for me, and the host had to find me in some system on her computer to verify that I was a Club Royale member.

The next day, I used my Verizon Wi-Fi Calling to call Club Royale to complain that this was the second time my information got lost between shoreside Club Royale and the onboard casino. They arranged to get my rebate information sent to the casino host and casino manager promptly, and it was available for pickup that afternoon.

Good Afternoon all,

Just did the Alaska Cruise on Radiance of the Seas and here is what I played and got. This was my first time in the rating program for RCL.

Played for 4-5 hours per night (thank you to my wife for going to sleep early and for me staying at the casino until closing). Played mostly 3 Card. $5 per hand, $5 Pair Plus, and $5 6 Card bonus. A decent amount of time I did play two hands.

I got a $500 certificate after we had already booked Harmony of the Seas for 6/2018. So that certificate was no good for that cruise. Wife looked into a 5 day New England/Canada cruise on Anthem (we live in NY) that was showing at $2,400 all in after the current RCL 30% off each cruiser promo for a D8 room. We figured $1,900 for a 5 night plus a new certificate to apply to the 2018 sailing was a no brainer.

We called the Casino Royale number on the back of the certificate and after going through the booking process the rep cam back and told us $1,900 all in - $500 bringing us down to $1,400 for the 5 night cruise. I figured that the rep gave us a different room but it was late and I just wanted to finish the call and I figured that I could fix it the next day.

When we got the receipt a few minutes later all of a sudden I noticed that not only did I get a 45% off instead of the 30% they gave my wife the same (she didn't play a nickel)! Put with that the $190 that costco is giving us $1,200 for 5 nights, SNAP!

Needless to say I was very happy with what was given. I tried to get it applied to my cruise on Harmony but they said the casino rate was just the 30%. Maybe it will get better after the next cruise.

Can anyone explain what exactly I get for being a member of Club Royale? I didn't get any papers (have seen previous posts that say you need to sign something) and didn't ask for it but I see it checked on my Costco Travel page.

Thanks in advance.

I have a question, for the Club Royal VIPs. i just got off the phone with Club Royale - I have a booking, booked awhile back with a next cruise.

When it was originally booked I got the casino rate and subsequently had a certificate applied against it.

Recently the price dropped and the senior rate is now cheaper than the casino rate so they moved me off the casino rate, and now the booking has the C&A balcony discount back in - However, in the past when that happened they gave you back the on board credit from the next cruise certificate.

I was just told that the on board credit will no longer be applied due to the certificate - Is this true ? i was also told that they are no longer giving discounts for casino play, only for certificates.

I assume your Host was Helena on the Radience. She is one of my favorites.

when you are in Club royale

1. they waive the 5% fee for cash advance

2. typically they will give you free drinks while playing in the casino

3. once in, on the following cruise you may also receive perks ( still based on play) such as comped specialty restaurants, spa, etc

The new rules are still a bit in flux but they have served me very well for some time now

Hi, I get full suite comps as well, but I think he said "up to balcony" because I dont believe any of the certificates are for suites. It think it's (500 off, free inside, free ocean, free balcony) also something I noticed. on the enchantment a few weeks ago. they gave me the balc cert and my buddy the inside cert. but the sailings are not the same it's different ships and sail dates on the two different classes of certs. I assumed they would be the same. but.. like you...I get full suite comps, so the certs are useless to me. I just call club royale and they take amazing care of me. Even with the "limbo" of the new program. I really like them (especially the ones that have been there for so long)

Yes I got to meet Helena and she was very nice. So were all of the pit bosses and most of the dealers as well. Made some good friends.

Interested to see how this all works out.

Is it true though that the drinks you get lower the other benefits. I don't think they were taking my seapass after the first drink.

I don't think the drinks reduce your benefits. Most of the time the bar server doesn't even look at my card anymore after the first day cause they know me. I also tip them each drink so they remember me

Yes... While what you and Nick have both said, is true ( after the first drink they dont usually look at your card) however, there is a full list of all the players at the bar and obviously the servers cant just get free drinks so they would tell the bartender (this is for xxxxx) ... so it is my understanding that not only the drinks, but the comps such as dinners, spa, etc also count against your offers. depends who you ask.... I think it's still so in flux...

In fact... here is a for example

Oasis of the seas in december. Helena was my host.

My rebate would have been 5k but she comped my cabana, internet and specialty resteraunts. and my rebate ended up being 4600...

so it does factor in ... in some way

  • 2 weeks later...

Just got off the Allure. It was interesting that I got my casino certificate delivered to my room late afternoon on the last day. Also, the host was able to tell me in real time how many "points" I had (I play only roulette, but I still know how they figure points for that). She told me for every 1600 points you get $100 certificate and at 2400 you get a free Inside category cruise and 3600 an OV and around 4500 (?) or around there a balcony. I had around 4,100 points at the time and I considered playing a little more to reach the next level. I played an hour and bet $75/spin and I lost $300. Bad decision I guess to continue playing. When I checked with the host, that one hour only got me an additional 100 points so I was still 300-ish points from the next level. Bad decision risking $300 or more to gain an additional $250 in benefit (I would only be able to use the trade in value cause I can't cruise in the next 2 months plus I have too many booked after that). So while the real time information is good, I still would like to know how they figure points

I'm kinda curious how they track everyone playing the tables. I understand the points on slots with the card. Do they watch every bet from every person and keep a tally? Also curious about the points system too. At 75 per spin over an hour period, that should be 25 to 35 spins approx. Thats about $2000 ish in betting in an hours time to only get 100 points? At that rate, your looking at $48,000 in betting to get 2400 points for an inside cabin. Sounds like alot.

I wish I knew also.... I tried to see if there are any additional free cruises beyond January 2017 and they said no- I could only use the trade in value...I'm not able to cruise in Sept/Oct so I'll end up only being able to use the trade in value on an existing cruise and move the lower amount already applied to another new short cruise later on

Hey Nick,

who was the host on the Allure. I am sailing in November.

I can't help on how the figure points for table play, but I am just off Rhapsody and I also got my cert delivered late afternoon. However, the certificate does not have any "free cruises" listed on it at all. It is a straight Dollars Off certificate. The host told me that they are going to move to that on all ships. Also, it is good for a year now. It says new bookings only, but I was able to use it on my June 2017 cruise.

There was a sign in the casino:

1600 points = $100 off

2400 points = $200 off

3600 points = $300 off

4800 points = $400 off

6000 points = $500 off

Don't know if all the ships casino's are going to be the same, but the host on the Rhapsody seemed to think that it is going that way.

Happy cruising!

There is a new Casino Host on the Anthem. She just started there same day as our 5 day Bermuda cruise which began 8/20/16.

Very nice and accommodating - her name is Cristina Hill and she is suposed to be on for about 4 months.

I hope that those points are different than table points cause my 3600 points on the table play was good for a free cruise in an OV.

Similar to current points for slot players

2400 points------free inside or $500 off a cruise

3600 points------free oceanview or $750 off a cruise

4800 points------free balcony or $1000 off a cruise

All I can say is :eek::eek: Big difference in dollars as to what is currently being offered that I posted above to Nick.

Spoke to CR yesterday and they said they were not aware of any changes to the point system *yet*, time will tell.

Going to the casino on Anthem is like "Cheers" where everybody knows your name... Kim was on our 5 day. I showed the picture to her of what I had taken of her huge slot win from December - and then I emailed it to her.

Either of you doing a beach bash? We are on Navigator Dec. 9 ABC islands. May go early and do Navigator beach bash. But we already have plane tix so not sure if airfare price will be worth the change...
