Premier Casino Cruise - Splendor

I've been reading a few reviews on some premier casino cruises and was wondering if anyone had anymore insight to them? I'm booked on the Splendor for January 8th out of Miami on one. Seems like it should be a fun cruise.

Anyone been on one recently? How was it? Did they treat you well? Types of gifts/comps you may have received? Most of all, did you enjoy it?

I didn't get the Breeze as an option. Had Vista out of NY in November and January 8th or 23rd with Splendor out of Miami.

Did both a Premier and an Ultra last year and both were a blast. Lots of prizes and goodies left in the cabin.

I sailed the Splendor in May on a Premier.

 

How was it?

The ship staff, casino staff and entertainment was one of the best cruises.

Did they treat you well?

From the first day welcome party to the last night drawing we were always made to feel welcome.

 

Types of gifts/comps you may have received?

It seems like almost every day there was something special. Strawberries, Wine, special gift, cookies....that sort of thing. As to comps remember you are invited because you are a gambler but so are most of the other folks in the casino.

 

Most of all, did you enjoy it?

We are on Splendor Premier Cruise on Sept 24th. That's all we sail now....Premier cruises. Some of the best cruises we have done. A lot of fun. You will love it.

7500 in previous 12 months gets premier invite. 7500 on a single premier gets Ultra invite. This is my understanding. I am not an expert on this though.

I've been on 4 cruises since June 2015 (June 15, Nov 15, April 16 and June 16). I averaged about 5000 points (wife also about same) per cruise but never got to 7500 on one. Strange thing is I got the premier offer but my wife did not and I'm quite sure she had more points than me on every cruise.......lol

I asked this on the casino board and didn't get a definitive answer. If my husband is playing table games can I use his card in the slot machines at the same time?

This would increase the points on one card.

Anyone know for sure?

Guess it is 7,500 points. Doesn't really say if it's over time though.

Statement on my last Premier cruise mailing:

Guest must earn a minimum of 7,500 points in the casino on board one (1) of the 2017 Premier Cruises advertised in order to qualify for a 2017 ULTRA Premier Cruise.

I know there was a greater demand than supply for ULTRA cruises. Guess this new restriction will reduce the number of folks that get "sorry, sold out".

If you are on a Premier Cruise is it beneficial to purchase FTTF? It says Premier check-in so I wasn't sure if I would be wasting my money buying FTTF.

You will board priority as a premier guest, so if you're just buying FTTF for that perk then I would say save your money. ;) Good luck and have a wonderful cruise!

Thanks. I don't think I will purchase it. The priority line at guest services is nice but not worth paying for just that. Might not even need to go to guest services!

On our last cruise there was a family doing just that. She (the wife I suppose) had his card in a poker machine, within 6 feet of him playing Let It Ride at the same table as me. She hit a Royal and they wouldn't pay it. They were so mad. All week different people kept coming to him to get his card to play slots. The dealer and pit boss were paying very close attention to what they were doing. He also had the DOU card attached to his players card so whoever had the card would get the drinks.

Since they were watching and from your account knew what was going on too bad the pit boss didn't say something. And I am sure they were upset. But it has been my experience that when you try and manipulate the system it usually doesn't end up well.

The pit boss probably wasn't to worried at first because they were making money off both the card player and the slot player. That was until the slot player hit that $6000. Royal Flush. Not sure what nationality they were but they weren't speaking English. One didn't need to translate to imagine what they were saying. LOL The card player played LIR all week and didn't have a clue how to play. The first 2 nights the dealers tried to help him in his language but he just didn't grasp the concept.

you get the priority check in due to the premier cruise, there is a seperate section marked off for you.

 

Normally you get cruise cash at the cage, so check once on board

 

when you arrive in your room, you will have the drink free card and usually a premier type of bubba cup. THe first two people in the stateroom get the drink on us card, you dont have to earn it... 15 drinks per day, each.

 

some of the premier gifts we have received.. super large bath towels with Carnival Premier Cruises on them, mahogony box containing two packs of playing cards, dice, and a nice pen, steakhouse for two, bottles of wine, boxes of cookies, strawberries, a leather bound portfolio containing a pen and two notebooks, large and small each leather bound, a thermos in a leather case with two small mugs , are some ideas.

 

each night there is something different happening in the casino, games, take it or leave it which is basically deal or no deal, cash pong bouncing balls into bags worth different values, snowball draws where you get one entry for every 100 pts, and the prize grows each night.. etc etc the list goes on

 

there is also a free slot tourney for premier guests who earn 2000 pts, and there is a welcome aboards cocktail party for premier guests.

 

lots of fun.. I go on conquest Oct 29, splendor Jan 22, another premier in Feb and another premier in March.

Unfortunately no. The special events are just for those booked through the premier event. Please understand this is one of the perks for our play in the casino. If you gamble enough you will qualify.
