Hi everyone my name is Kent and I'm going to be taking you on my Mexican Riviera adventure aboard Ruby Princess. I'll be traveling with my beautiful wife Josie and we're from Portland, OR. This is my thirrd cruise on Princess and my wife's second. We'll be aboard the beautiful Ruby Princess, a ship that we were on 18 months ago on an Alaskan cruise celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary.

Friday February 17th

Unlike my other reviews, I spaced taking pictures leaving PDX to LAX. But it doesn't really matter because the weather in Southern California is absolutely terrible. Parts of I-5 in LA are shut down due to the amount of rain.

However we're staying tonight at the Westin Long Beach and decided to do dinner in hotel due to the weather. Downtown Long Beach in normal circumstances isn't a bad area to stay before departing on a cruise out of San Pedro.

I assume you mean real Champagne, not sparkling wine.

If you want the real stuff, what level quality are you looking for?

No, I meant sparkling wine. My pallet is not refined enough to warrant$200 bottles

I'm thinking up to $80... hoping it more like $40

Bring your own if you like a special one. You can bring 1 bottle of wine each when you first board. However if you want to take it to the dining room you will pay a corkage fee.

Nice, nice, nice!!!! We will be onboard in April!!!

Did Embarkation begin at 1:00 or earlier?

Also, when you get a chance, when are the evening show times in the theater?

....................and..........selfie of Kent and Josie please!!!! :D

We got on board at noon. Our email from Princess said from 1 to 3 was our embarkation time. However we wanted to board earlier. Here's a selfie of my wife and I.

I see that you are in a mini suite, are you in Club Class?

Nope just a regular mini-suite. Although on this ship if we spent another $100 a person when we booked the cruise, we would've gotten the club class perk. We booked our cruise before it even came out.
