Question re flights from Santiago, Chile

I wonder if anyone could give advice please about transfer times from the Port to the Airport in Santiago. There is a flight that we would like to book that departs at 12.45 on 19th December.If we are in the first group to disembark would we make it?

According to my research the drive time from the port to the airport is 1 1/2 hours. So IF the ship arrives on time at 7 you SHOULD be able to leave the ship by 8- 8:30.

No problem -- we will be doing the reverse that day stopping at a winery in the Casablanca Valley enroute from Santiago to the ship in Valparaiso. Please just make sure you leave some champagne on the ship when you disembark!

I got off the Star Princess in Valparaiso on 21 December last year. I was not in a hurry and had one of the later transfers--the standard Princess thing for $54. The bus left the dock at 9:30 and we reached the airport just before 11.

I have the same flights booked in late January.

Are you booking a shuttle or taking a taxi?

We have booked private transfers with the cruise line. We never take a taxi from the ones waiting at the port, been there done that and have had too many arguments with drivers who demand more than the agreed fare when you get to your destination.

Just to let everyone know.

We docked at Valparaiso Chile at 7:15am. There was a delay in allowing us off. ( a medical emergency I think)

so we disembarked at 7:45am. I booked an HAL transfer to Santiago Airport. I was lined up early and I was on the first shuttle to the airport.

We arrived at the airport 10:00 am in plenty time to catch my 12:45pm flight.
