The Gem is still in port New York.

Anyone know why they are still docked? The were supposed to leave 4 hours ago.

The gem is now pulling out. I wonder what the delay was?

Suspect would be either additional provisions being added or delays of pax from affected areas due to hurricanes..

Earlier this morning the Carnival Sunshine was delayed a bit due rough currents in the river. I guess they are waiting for it to calm down for a smooth sailing

If it was the Manhattan Terminal and there was a really heavy flow in the Hudson then the Gem may not have been able to safely leave the pier. We were on a Princess cruise when we pivoted on the corner of the wharf trying to get in due to the flow in the Hudson.
